Syrian Civil War and The future of Syria after liberation

Associated Press: Israel is concerned about the possibility of Türkiye's expansion of its military presence inside Syria

What they are worried about is a Syrian military backed by turkey and the Arabs that eventually could lead to something very dangerous for Israel

Great job of the Syrian government in cleaning up the terrorist Nusayris and fifth columns sponsored by the Wilayat al-Faqih cult (Iranian regime) and the Zionists. Druze better not fall into the same fatal mistake.
That's a report.

More anti-Muslim rhetoric from this anti-Arab and anti-Muslim troll. You can cry about Salafi/Wahhabi whatever nonsense. 99.99% of all Syrian Muslim Arabs agree with my correct and logical statements.
Again, you don't know me and it's funny when you call me "anti-Muslim" and "anti-Arab".

Again with your sectarian affinity????

Putting at the same basket the iranians and zionists because you don´t like them... will make to declare your mother in law is either iranian or zionist. C´mon man!

@_Arabia_
Yet again you can’t help yourself. Last warning before a ban - stop making it all about sectarianism or based about your hatred for other beliefs. Haven’t you realised this forum won’t tolerate it?
Be critical by all means but stop the sectarianism and abuse for others beliefs

Nothing to do with tiny Greece? They are of the same faith. They are of the Patriarchate of Antioch. We have spiritual ties going some 1500 years back, maybe more. Just like you jump to support your Sunni "brothers",even though you yourself are a Saudi Arab and not Levantine.

I thought you wanted what's good for Syria. All those people are native Syrians as well. The Christians, the Alawites, the Shia, even the weird Druze. But it seems that for you,Syria should be turned into an Islamic Emirate ran by a Sunni Emir.

Naughty,naughty!

They have nothing to do with you in terms of ancestry, language, culture, history. Unlike Arabs of Levant and Arabia (which are largely the same people as confirmed by all of recorded history and modern-day DNA) as well as geography, language, culture and everything else more or less. To compare this relationship with outsiders that just happen to share religion (a religion that is ours - (Arab/Semitic and native to our lands and region) is laughable. You have as much in common with them as with Christian Congolese. Go meddle in their matters too.

As I said, they form 2% of the population and they were overly represented during the Al-Assad regime. Simple as that. Now they have to accept majority rule. Simple as that.

Look, I don't want to waste my time discussing internal Arab affairs with some anti-Arab, anti-Muslim and anti-KSA Greek troll that is constantly promoting/hailing one of the most murderous, sectarian and violent regimes in modern history (the Al-Assad Nusayri dictatorship) with an actual supremacist state policy (Ba'ath ideology), constantly makes sectarian comments aimed at Muslims (you clearly have a problem with majority Muslim nations wanting their state to be influenced by the main religion of the state and people (Islam), but funnily enough I have never seem you criticize the Iranian Islamic regime (much more hardcore and everyone can read about their track record in this regard since 1979 - as usual you are completely silent as well as with the numerous crimes of Shia terrorist groups in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon).

You were fine with 100's of massacres on mainly Syrian Sunni Arabs (where 10.000's of people died), with the Hama massacre in 1982 (widely reported and acknowledged even by pro-Al-Assad regime supporters in the West), Srebrenica massacre were 10.000 of Bosnian Sunnis died (you have tried to deny this as well) and everywhere were Sunnis are at the receiving end, you are always happy and supporting the opposite side. What a coincidence.

Now you have the audacity to cry when people are happy that remnants of the Al-Assad regime (Nusayri terrorists) who openly called for a revolt (sponsored by the Iranian regime), killed 100's of civilains (their own included) are dealt with, you make sectarian insults and cry.

Shameless. My last ever post to you.

Maybe they shouldn't have bombed Syria, and forced the new transitional government to rely so heavily on Turkiye then?

Netanyahu knows what he's doing. He's creating situations to justify his never ending wars, because he knows as soon as they end, he's not only going to lose his political career, but end up in prison.

And you said Turkey is in Syria, implying that they can take action against Israel.
Technically, the Turks can if they want to.

They won't though, as they don't want a war with Israel.

I can see them eventually manning the border between Syria and Israel on behalf of Syria, to force Israel back across the demilitarized zone in Israeli-occupied Golan, but that i think would be opposed by the Syrian Kurds who are already causing trouble for the new government after signing a unity deal.

Technically, the Turks can if they want to.
That's the whole point though: Erdogan talks big and threatens Israel directly or indirectly,
but has been doing nothing. All the talk about lions and foxes and we'll do this and do that to anyone who compromises the territorial integrity of Syria etc. only to take action against the ragtag bands of Kurds and rebellious Arabs, while avoiding the Israelis who are literally a few dozen miles from the capital.

thread bans will now be implemented. Come on guys don’t force my hand

@Musings

I am once again referring to the Nusayri terrorists who rebelled in Latakia, Tartus and other areas and killed 100's of Syrian soldiers, civilians (Nusayris and Muslims alike) and who were later dealt with. All of this has been widely documented .The armed gangs which are still (few are left) in hiding and engaged in an armed insurgency. With the active support of the Iranian regime who have made no secret of this support.

There are numerous of links (sources) available in those articles.

Look at all of those Iranian regime-sponsored terrorists groups that have been created since December 2024 and which received open Iranian regime support. This is their usual behaviour (creation of terrorist proxies). Unfortunately.

After the murderous Al-Assad regime collapsed/was removed by the Syrian people (largely without much blodshed and fight which was obviously a great thing as well as a bit surprising but it showed that the Syrian people were sick and tired of the incompetent and murderous Al-Assad regime), the new regime in Syria gave full amnesty and former Al-Assad accomplishes (outside of the highest ranks) got a proposal of complete amnesty if they turned in their weapons and helped cooperate to catch the biggest criminals and help end potential/all insurgency. This has angered millions of Syrians who want justice for their relatives and justice for 50 + years of untold crimes.

Now due to this climate (no accounting yet as everything is fresh and new just 3 moths after the regime fall), some Syrians have taken revenge into their own hands and some (including people within the HTS and affiliated groups) have committed crimes themselves by killing civilians. Which is unacceptable but at the same time not overly surprising given the past 50 years of history and the Nusayri insurgency which encourages vigilance.

I never supported this behaviour as it is wrong morally, Islamicly and not in conformity with Arab culture. People responsible for crimes in question should be arrested and trialled afterwards.

HOWEVER, the active insurgents/terrorists, I and vast majority of Syrians (just look at reactions on social media), they are open game. No different from Pakistan killing/targetting insurgents/terrorists.

Sect here is irrelevant but the reality is that the only ones that are rebelling are the Nusayri terrorist remnants from the Al-Assad regime. Not Syrian Christians (Arabs and Assyrians) nor other minorities.

Even the Kurds in the SDF have reached an agreement with the Syrian government which is great news and gives hope for Syrian reconciliation.

Unlike the supremacist Ba'ath regime (Al-Assad regime), Kurds will have their rights respected (Kurdish will be recognized) and they will be given autonomy in the Kurdish-majority areas of Syria (overall small area).

Our Greek troll must be well aware of all of this, but as usual, he is trying hard with his sectarianism and pathetic comments to make a character assassination. Even though he knows that I have personally a positive view of Arab Christians (I consider them my brothers and sisters) as I have explained many times and written in length. I am not sure why I should be accepting his constant sectarian/personal insults and absurd false accusations from his hand of sectarianism.

This is the guy that denies Srebrenica, 100's of massacres on Muslims in Syria, the Hama massacre, is openly supporting the Al-Assad regime (one of the most disgusting regimes in modern history) and now supporting Nusayri terrorism. But I am the sectarian one? Laughable.

Frankly as mods we accept all views and varying opinions as long as no personal attacks and abuse to fellow members or insults to beliefs. As long as it falls in these parameters we are all good bro

That is very true..As Turkey plus the GCC and Egypt as well as other Arab countries are pretty powerful militarily, politically and economically..Israel knows it is no much for this coalition without the US backing it.. and eventhough, the US finds itself between a rock and a hard place!
