The Syrians know geo-politics very well and understand the tones of the play.
Russia remains the single biggest threat to Syria´s long-term future not in the near-future but in the long term future.
Iraq is very weak hence they are the least of concern for a Turco-Syrian bloc while Israel is small in scale and doesn´t have the manpower to be considered an existential threat if it came to head on but the key long term future is to align themselves with the US and to be honest they have been pushed into their arms and their interests align and Syria has no interest in Russo-Chinese rise because that camp has been hostile towards Syria.
It was the Russians keeping Assad in office by all means and if Ukraine didn´t happen not much would have changed on the ground as Russia had deployed 200.000 forces including the Chechen army police in Syria and was a crusade proportion, the Rebels were not ready for such fight but still managed to fight them for 13 years.
I think Russia will win Ukraine and some other conflicts perhaps some NATO countries will split from THE Eastern Europe bloc (Romania, Hungary, Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia etc etc and join Russian lead bloc which could strengthen Russia if that happens both Europe and Turkey and Syria will come under Russian attack simultaneously around 2050s.
That is why Syria needs to incooperate it´s armed forces into NATO standard and become a major none-NATO ally. They need to strengthen their military, airforce with NATO standard equipment.
Once Russia wins the Ukriaine war they will take a break for 2-3 decades and I assume Russia will occupy all of Ukraine by 2031-32 but around the mid-2050s Russia could pose a serious threat to main land Europe and Turkey-Syria cause if Turkey is threatened so will Syria also.

The Non-aggression agreement between Damascus and Tel Aviv sponsored by Washington DC .. will see the light soon
It is about Non-aggression and respect for both Syria and Israel borders after May 31 of the year 1974, not a peace agreement and not normalization, and there will be no diplomatic relations between the two .. Congratulations to all Syrians closing this door of evil ..

That US and regional pressure on Israel is good, but I don't see the Israel abandoning the positions it took, but just the bombings themselves stopping is good, b/c what Syria needs most at the moment, is to buy time, consolidate and strengthen.
