"Older" as in car shipped over 1 .5 years ago...which is like 95% of all the cars out there.

When they can navigate Asian cities - especially places like Mumbai and Delhi - then that's the acid test. It's like the boss level of driving - alongside the school run.

Probably not going to happen in most of Asia other than China in the near term because FSD learns how to drive just like that DeepMind Alpha Go thing learned the game "Go": -> by watching a whole bunch of videos of people playing.

Since there are not many Teslas driving in Asia (other than China) there are not many "games to watch" being recorded by Tesla cars currently on their roads to learn their specific "countryisms".

The first image of a heavily camouflaged Tesla Robotaxi “Cybercab” prototype may have just been shared online

Hmmm...looking suspiciously like Google's old Firefly car

Forget the taxi. It would be nice just to make private cars to drive on their own so they can pick up or drop off their owners at train/bus stations or airports. And each car should come with a blank slate. No AI knowledge should be built in. It should just watch how its owner drives around until it learns enough. In this way, if it is involved in an accident, its owner should take the responsibility, not the company that built and sold it.
