Article on Fox News this morning announcing Tesla about to release first Cybercar without a wheel. Production to start in April:

Tesla builds a car with no steering wheel. Now what?
Tesla Cybercab production begins at Gigafactory Texas with no steering wheel or pedals, as Elon Musk announces April start for the autonomous robotaxi starting under $30,000.www.foxnews.com
why just 2 seats?
Model Y are spacious, but kinda look weird not gonna lie, I like the design of the Tesla Taxi, wonder if they will be available for buy for non-taxi purposes. It was determined most taxi rides have 2 passengers or less.
Stats say 1.4 passengers.
The small robotaxis will be for that group to be more efficient.
Model Ys will be for the larger groups..they had to retrofit camera washers in them for them to be viable as robotaxis.

I mean there are plenty of used Tesla's in the market with less than 10k miles on them, those can serve you well for as long owner has treated them nicely, remember visiting a GMC showroom when i was looking for a car, and there was this GMC SUV which was just bought by the showroom, they haven't even clean it, did the test drive and God that car was filthy lol I mean they were offering to clean/test and everything before the sale but people just don't pay attention to car hygiene. If i get a new Tesla and someone drop food or some soda or juice in it, i will kick that passenger out lolyes, we are approaching the 10 year mark of the Tesla Model 3 and it still isn't cheaper than a Camry

The first thing I did to keep my kids (and myself) from completely ruining my Tesla was to install Tesmanian floor mats

Me who doesn't have Tesla and kids reading your post. But yeah they are necessary if you have kids, i do drink in my car like Red bull or Gatorade or even have eaten but I am very careful about not dropping anything, i don't want any kind of bugs in my car. I have this peppermind spray to which i use once in a month to keep ants, spiders and other bugs from entering the car, i normally spray in back trunk area and on the floor, it smells good and keep the bugs away.
