Well they probably did it to test the airflow and not for aesthetics reasons. lol

Provided my understanding is correct, if this is done to shield the previously exposed engine, then this new air inlet duct will reduce the radar cross-section (RCS) by obscuring the engine's direct line of sight to radar waves.

I do like the new nose of the Hurjet - ideally if they can, they should do the same with Ka'an.

It was announced that the length of KAAN's new prototype will be shortened and its nose will be changed.

The Intake seems to be closer to the KAI T-50 now, compared to the older model which was like the Boeing T-7 intake.

Funny enough these 3 planes are all advanced trainers/lead in fighters and are all powered by the same GE 404 engine. lol

There is another flight of the KAAN expected before the end of the year.

According to Col Dr Eray Gucluer (rtd.), the 3rd flight of KAAN protype will be phenomenal. It will take place within months. It'll fly from one city to another. Moreover, a number of armed drones will accompany it as loyal wingmen. Together they'll conduct firing tests....

The indigenous 35k lb class engine protypes are being readied to be inserted into the fuselage of a new KAAN prototype which is being structurally modified to house them...

this man lies too much, no need to give attention to him. First prototype does not have even retractable landing gears how she can fire a missile? what are the priorities of a fighter development? to fire a missile to get attention? She has no radar,no HUD and no HMDS yet, how can she fire missile? oh GOD it is only 3rd flight!
