I think there is a very good chance Spain buys the Hurjet.

I do wonder if the RAF could look at the Hurjet, in return for a Typhoon purchase ?

There is the Aeralis programme, but that is currently no where near a prototype.

When they do decide to replace, it will have to be an off the shelf option from the USA, Italy or even Turkey if the Aeralis programme does not work out.

Not surprised. The original YF-22 went through something similar, where it had to be redesigned and shrunk in size.

KAAN going from prototype 1 to prototype 2 will see major changes as well, as data from the prototype 1 will help optimize the fighter design, and remove flaws.

Interesting. Apparently the original prototype had a larger bulk head than they originally wanted, so looks like they have solved that.

I think they will grind out the Hawk for the forseeable future.

The USAF has specialized a/cs to test radars developed for jets. Akinji can function as a testbed too....

Scaled-technology demonstrator for Ka'an took to the skies for the first time. It is named Iqbal after Allama Iqbal.

Is that normal, using scaled aircraft for flight testing? I thought scaling was limited to the wind tunnel stage.
