Let me paint you a picture, you have a nation that has outright admitted and said that they want to expand on their greater border agenda. Once a provocative nation makes that point loud and clear and further doubles down on that objective, they are never going back on it, it’s all in with the doors closed behind them, and the only direction for them left is to move forward. Especially after what we’ve seen with the Palestinian Territories and currently Lebanon, all that and their bombings of Syria and Iraq. That’s outright land grab agenda right there, with the most technologically sophisticated military weapons, equipment, and intel, completely unregulated mind you from the US. And that same said nation is right next to your borders, that same country has identified parts of your country as their objective to take and a part of their expansion. So what do you do at that point? Do you sit and wait and hope diplomacy takes place? Or do you triple down on capabilities, technology, logistics and the means to get what’s out there? Because diplomacy clearly has failed for all those smaller nations since said country is left to run unregulated and is proceeding with its grand expansion plan, the logical thing is to get everything you need that meets the criteria to at least equalize if not close the gap against that country.

1- France was defeated by Egypt in 1250 and your king Louis IX was captured and was prisoned in a hut

2-France was defeated in The Battle of Mansoura (February 1250) led by the King’s brother, Robert of Artois ( Louis IX's brother) and he was killed

2- France was defeated by Egypt in 1801 and your general Kléber was killed

3- France was defeated by Egypt again in 1956 and they couldn't take over suez canal

I wish islam binds countries. But sadly that's not the case, instead it is convergence of interests that do the trick. Egypt is a classical example when leaving the Arab league and largely the entire Muslim world they signed Camp David. because Israelis had kept Gazans in an open air prison since 1967, after first ethnic cleansing them from their lands in 1948, and continued violently suppressing them and killing them. What do you expect Gazans to do ? Send flowers to Israel ?

Israeli campaign in Gaza was against civilians, its why you saw entire cities wiped out. Israel always attacks civilians and has been doing so since 1948.
