Democracy is the last thing on earth the people of Myanmar need. Or any less developed countries. People need peace, stability, food, housing, education, not ideology. Hitler came to power thru democracy. So Trump, Putin and thousands other psycho.Democracy that can save Myanmar. The rebellion becomes so strong after only the military purge their democracy and put Su Kyi on the jail (only recently put on house arrest due to ASEAN pressure)
If the gov lost people support, then it will be difficult to solve the already fractured Myanmar.
You need to be fair first before making any sound analisis ( actually you just make statement, not even a simple analisis)
I think it will be hard for democracy to be successful in Myanmar because the Bamar people are the majority and always win in the votes while all the other ethnic groups become 2nd class citizens and have their resources stripped by the Bamar.Democracy that can save Myanmar. India was very newly independent and backward country in 66 it was just 19 years old who witnessed 62 war and 64 nuclear test by china... what do you expect? It was just agreeing to a support to keep an china nuclear activities and there's no single proof showing it was proper American airbase functioning for several years like gulf countries or Pakistan....Seriously, what the heck is wrong with you people.
I just gave you a link, leave your fantasies and read a little why don't you.
It's an airbase for air operations. Over multiple years.
Soviet naval operations happened from naval ports, there are no naval ports in the Himalayas.
Like i said, you people have been fed so many lies you cannot tell fact from fiction.
That monitoring device you referred to is just another example of india jumping in other countries lap for protection.

In India, which i definitely don't consider a successful country, there is no dominant ethnic group yet everyone still votes for their caste/gods/religion which makes progress of daily life for citizens very difficult.

Russia was the only arm supplier of India that time.... their navy never operated the way American navy operates worldwide by using other Nations ports.... max they use to come for platform deliveries and training Indian crew.... India on record never threatened any country by hosting foreign militaries on its soil....
You need more time to understand the things....lol
Dude, why do you lot lie so much?
You do realise India was a semi industrial country when it was created in 1947. The British gave india a fully functioning state. So I don't know where you get your fantasies from?
It was a fully functioning airbase, the intelligence report literally says india built it especially for the Americans.
It doesn't matter how the Russian navy functioned, India hosted their military hardware, allowed them to repair, refuel and rest.
India also hosted the French and the British naval warships for refueling and repair.
Who's left?
You've had everyone over![]()

Yeah you had your own issues and struggles with independence. The Junta was more and arguably still is more powerful than Bangladesh which could have resulted in a war which Bangladesh may have lost more lands. You did what you could with what you were given but right now the region is controlled by the Arakan Army who are also persecuting the rohingyas the same way the junta was earlier.
I think Bangladesh if it joins the Mecca pact might be changing directions and having the Mecca pact behind you will give you greater bargaining power with the Junta and Arakan Army.3. However I think it's far bigger than point #1 and #2 because there are lots of people in Dhaka including retired military personnel, think tank "experts" who basically advocate a policy of believing that one day the junta will "be nice".
The main difference i think is that Bangladesh is muslim and is different culture to myanmar so even rival factions and junta may unite against you. China or Thailand share more similarities and have their own ethnic groups in control of a lot of land in myanmar and thus are not seen as alien or outsiders. Even Aung sung suu kyi was anti-rohingya and was denounced for it by the West so it could be playing with fireThe only legitimate argument I think these people have is that they'd say that if there is a war our entire economy could be destroyed and thus our nation, we cannot sacrific 170 million Bangladeshis for 1 million Rohingyas, but this is probably nonsense as this doesn't stop Thailand and China trading with Myanmar but also arming anti-junta paramilitary groups.

- 2019 International Court of Justice (ICJ) Defense: Appearing at The Hague in December 2019, she called The Gambia's genocide allegations "incomplete and misleading".
