This officer should be court martialed

Students behaving like a mob....

University officials abusing their authority.....

A military officer entering a university in uniform and firing shots....

People celebrating violence against him.....

Political nut jobs turning everything into propaganda.....

Journalists choosing sides instead of facts....

This isn't one side being right and the other wrong....

This is what societal breakdown looks like...
Agree. And it all goes back to repeatedly violating the Constitution, imposing dictatorship and ruling by the gun. As they say "What goes around comes around".

Constitutionalism and obeying the law brings political stability and minimizes violence in society but try explaining that these Kakul and Pakistan Service Academy dimwits.

This entire thread basically sums up what’s wrong with the country. It’s not a big deal that a personal incident happened and someone happened to be wearing a uniform. If it were politicians or businessmen, people would’ve forgotten about it by now because, as Oscar mentioned, they have other levers to pull.

Military guys just went gung-ho, and that’s it. It’s not even the first time something like this has happened. Something similar happened when a motorway police officer took away an SSG pistol and they beat the shit out of him lmao.

The real issue is that PTI twats need a news cycle, and they got one. Now the entire social media is lit up trying to malign the institution. I’ve never seen them this effective on other actual issues, bas aik colonel ke peechay par gaye hain. He’ll surely get punished, but the broader degradation of society being amplified by the specific echochamber is insane.

And the biggest chutiya getting the most kick out of all this is @Watandar.

It depends on how you define "PTI".... From what I am seeing on SM, nearly 80% seem to be condoning/celebrating the grabbing of the Army officer by the collar......... I believe many of them aren’t PTI/cultists at all... they are Aam Awam simply fed up with the badmashi of the wardi mafia and have lost whatever sympathy they once had for those who abuse institutional power..... Such apathy, however undesirable and ultimately detrimental to the country, is hardly difficult to understand.....

And it’s not just the PTI cultists... PMLN patwaris, along with the usual bootlicker brigade, have a reflexive habit of blaming everything under the sun on PTI......... Some even went so far as to give this incident a racial angle, labelling the students as "anti-Pak Afghanis" just to manufacture a defence for the conduct of the Army officer........ In the end, it’s political nutjobs on both sides peddling propaganda, each adding their own share to the tearing apart of our social fabric...... The only difference between them is that PTI cultists happens to be on the short end of the stick right now.... The spin may be real, but so are many of the grievances beneath it...

As for @Watandar he is a perfectly reasonable poster in my experience.... You may disagree with his views, but trying to insult someone simply for thinking differently is uncalled for....

"Maybe the high and mighty Pak Fauj should uphold the standards it claims to abide by" Fair enough. If someone abuses public resources or acts above the law, hold them accountable. Nobody is arguing otherwise.

But spare me the selective outrage. “Hamare tax ke paiso ki pistol chala raha tha” suddenly makes it everyone’s moral duty to ridicule an entire institution? Apply that same standard when it’s your beloved politicians and their families.

PTI assholes should remember Hassan Niazi, Imran Khan’s nephew, who was caught on video participating in the 2019 PIC hospital riot. He stormed a hospital, assaulted people, smashed property, and patients died during the chaos. Yet somehow the outrage around Niazi’s accountability became a political sideshow.

So yes, live by the sword, die by the sword. If the colonel fucked up, punish him. But don’t pretend abuse of power is some uniquely military phenomenon or that every individual’s misconduct is proof that an entire institution is rotten.

If you actually believe in accountability, apply the same standard to everyone. Otherwise this is just partisan outrage wearing a fake moral costume.

Poor choice of example. That Niazi guy is in jail as long as Khan is. Milgai usse comeuppance.

Cause at the end of the day he was a bloody civilian. I am just asking for a little fairness here

What this Colonel did as bad as it was, from his POV he was doing it all for family and love. So a crime of passion. Chorde isko

There are plenty of faujis who do stuff even worse than this for plots, for women etc. Just like many Pakistanis do but the difference is their gang is too strong for the law to even think about punishing them.

Yes PTI cultists who worship Khan as anything more than a sporting icon are insufferable. We all know it.

So why do I hate it being spotlighted so? Me personally feel it's used as a deflection for the MUCH bigger elephant in the room which is the military cult.

Because whatever you think of Khan he was only there for 3 years and is never coming back. The other guys we are stuck with since '47.

Additionally, more and more footage of this woman coming out. At one point she was roaming around with a police baton in her hand. She was totally out of it. Husband should have done a snatch and grab and he'd have gained infinite PR points for Fauj.
Then it basically means the hypocrisy part is at play.
Because you just said the morality is only applicable to one side.
Whenever you call it a deflection for anything - then it shows you have selective bias and morality.
Thats it.

The military does abuse power - this is another incident of it.
They are the root cause of why this rotten system prevails - also true.
But highlighting that the cult of PTI wont change a damn thing because they are no different in their hypocrisy of painting everything wrong as right just as Fauji cultists do is not deflection.
Just a spotlight on the shitty reality of people who need messiahs all the time-- for everything.

Worshiping even General or Human it self is a unforgettable sin and it comes under Shrik let alone anything else. Ladies mainly in PTI and guys are somewhat less compare to PTI ladies in PTI. Just go and listen to PTI spaces they have already declared Imran Khan immortal and comparing him with important personal of Islam.

I saw videos of these cultists are welcoming babies after birth under IK's picture and having a phone photo of Khan "bless" the newborn.. a practice what once was done by households using quran or images of prophet's sandal. Today is 12th and if you point this shirk and equating with the prophet out to them they start with whataboutism and excuses on "That is just one person, we dont do it and so on"

Hypocrisy is so ingrained in them that they are mirror images of those fools who used to have Zia's or Bhutto's picture in their homes or today launch ridiculous "jind meri jaan" anthems of Self appointed Field Marshal.

But that is the problem with cultists - their BRAIN CANNOT PROCESS a second view.
They are INCAPABLE OF IT.

You can spend 10 posts critizing the military and this officer and the behavior of his wife acting like she is the law... but point out to them that brinigng in their lord and savior Cuckoo Khan as some example in what is an event highlighting Pakistanis drunk with power is stupid - and they go all "You are a ****, you are zionist".

Because that is what cultists do...
Ive seen it with members of Hizb ut Tahrir - Ive seen it with former respected members here who would go on all sorts of tangents to defend the corruption and allocation in DHA and now go "Mera Pir bhi tu, Mera Khan bhi tu".

No that's not what I said. I said the focus is being put entirely on PTI for 3 years when the the bigger guy, who actually nurtured and backed PTI in the first place and did all this social media engineering originally, and created many other test tube politicians and parties, is given a pass.

And also, youthias are not in control of tanks, Vigos, unknown men, G3s and such. The most they can do is post online on Facebook that Khan is handsome. So there is a little difference between them and a military man.

A wrathful officer on the other hand can do much more. He can abuse his office and he can get people picked up for minor infractions against him.

All VALID POINTS - and NOBODY IS BEING GIVEN A PASS.

That is the problem with it all - MANY are critiquiting this - many still think the PTI cultists are nutjobs. But brining in abuse of women in parties with PTI (shall I narrate to you stories of rape during 92 anti MQM operation by faujis ) is just plain pointless flaming and irrelevance to what is clearly a person drunk on power and abusing her husbands understood level of power.

Those so called men of the law arent siding with the officer because they are "working" for him - they are siding with him out of fear because they know "Mujh colonel ka kya bigar lo gay".

But it was these very colonels who were jind meri jaan for the same PTI cultists.

However, what is driving that behavior - while amplified by the army uniform I am personal witness to seeing from a wife of a PTI MNA.
So now is that idea that a PTI MNA's wife abusing cafe staff is ok because the PTI MNA doesnt have Vigo's(he did bring in his SHO friend to have the poor cafe staffer picked up).. halal then?
Or we says lets ignore it since he hasnt done that many sins since "mauqa nahin mila"??

Do you know what Zardari does on his lands? Or the Baloch Sardars do?
Or what the many Zameendars have done throughout these lands WELL WELL BEFORE anything called the Pak Fauj existed?

But, no - everything is all down to that specific uniform - which unfortunately despite all the rallying and so on and so forth - everyone is happy to exploit for their own personal needs as needed because after all -- that is the system.

And you have to post some video of women being abused that reeks of typical web PTI narratives - as if no other examples of state abuse - be it under Munira, IK, Nawaz, Zardari, Musharraf, BB, Nawaz, BB, Zia, Bhutto, Ayub never ever happened.

I only posted the PTI women specifically because some on this thread are trying to paint the student protestors as Youthias whereas protest had nothing to do with PTI, and also because it's a recent example. One that most here remember. I am just trying to draw a comparison with what is being claimed as harassment on that colonels wife vs how some women in recent times got treated by LO and agencies.

Around 2019 when I first started lurking this forum cause of interest piqued by Swift Retort, I used to be very pro establishment because I honestly thought, hey the ends justify the means right? Surely Zardari and Nawaz are all that is wrong with the country....

Then of course I got to learn things. The incidents you're referring to I know as well. My father spent a long time living in Balochistan (not military) and saw many such actions by Sardaars and yes, they had blessings of the brass to rule as they saw fit.

You mention MQM. Also terrible. I have met some people who have received that 'goli wala khat' or lived in Orangi Town. Regrettable but again, this gift was given to us by the military (to counterweight PPP if I remember correctly).

Coming to a PTI doing Badmaashi with his own Vigo and guards. By all means name and shame him on this forum.

Any man would protect his wife from a mob of haramis

If a guy had a gun and a mob of haramis afghans attacked you, most would use the gun to defend themselves

The guy showed massive restraint

Mob rule cannot be tolerated
How much per post do you get? Be honest now

Crowds do get enraged and collectively act as lower beings - but is is clear with videos that this lady was enflaming the issue well before someone started abusing her. Kicking signs and so on is plain "aa bail mujhe mar" regardless of who you are.

However, shall we provide her ideals of lets say Bushra bibi? I am sure she NEVER abused her husbands position right?

Right?

So the argument on whether this officer is wrong and his wife is wrong isnt even on debate anymore - regardless of those talking to female abuse and so on. And to assume that these officers come from "good families" and so on is also folly, I have personal experience with a Mrs General who tried to have me picked up because I called her out on corruption of crores and abuse of power during her daughters wedding - old PDF has the record and we had the same fauji cultists of the time defending that left and right as "it happens".

But the wider issue is whether the officer will be disciplined or not -
That - is dependent upon how connected he is with superiors.

I am witness to a Majors son getting away with near murder of my classmate and I am also witness to a colonel trembling before a tribunal for misusing assets.

AS with ANYTHING IN PAKISTAN - it matters who you know.

As for the whole MQM episode - I am referring to rapes of women by military men that came out as stories in papers of the time under Nasruallah Babur. Back then there was no TikTok to document them.

We are assuming what the colonel did was honorable - but the facts over years identify spouses of people in power in Pakistan including military abuse their husband's position and many a times use their husband for coercion and other activities.

The only differrence is - that a politicians or a businessman's wife(lets say the one who ran over girls in Karachi) is using the system's corrupt nature to trod on people.
In this case, a serving ofcrs wife - who REGARDLESS OF THE VALIDITY OF THE PROTESTS OR NOT - brought her IN UNIFORM husband (regardless of duty time or not) who not only escalated the situation(whether plainly by his presence in uniform or otherwise) and then proceeded to discharge a firearm.

The students can be abusive - on the wrong side - etc.
But that is NOT the purview of an army officer in uniform to come in and try to defend his wife's honor all gung ho.

De-escalation was required instead of getting insecure by the mrs's prodding.

but as they say - good women can make men....and so on.

There is no doubt about that Mr Fauji over stepped his boundaries and Fauj should take disciplinary action.
I support his action because he stood up for his wife in a crowd full of bullies.
Not sure why Army is being dragged even though he showed up alone.
Having said that, those university students and officials are not innocent and should be investigated. Too much political motivated bias and foreign agenda like that thug who assaulted the officer first turned out to be Afgani national and they are notorious for spreading anti Army agenda. I wonder how Talibani regime will treat Pakistani student in Afghanistan if they start revolting against their government.
