China isn't cracking; the US has folded and lowered tariffs on technology. According to Business Insider, China mainly reduced tariffs on semiconductors. It was reciprocal and nothing more; the Americans took the first step.

Sometimes it pays to wait and analyze things as they come patiently.

The CEOs of Walmart, Target, Costco and a few others met with Trump last week and warned him in a few weeks they will have to raise prices and their shelves will start to become empty. Trump once again folds like a cheap suit. Don't start a fight if u cant finish it.

$6 trillion lost
US consumers cut back on snacks, drinks. soon on foods.
maybe not too bad though
many amercians are too fat, Trump too fat.
a good time now to reduce consumption
less eating, less trade deficit
win win

In addition to destruction of private wealth in trillions USD the US will lose 500 billion USD a year as per IMF estimates.

Trump global trade war is unsustainable.
but that is not the worst scenario. even if he wants to stop now it’s probably too late.

That wasn't what I was talking about.
I was talking about when Covid hit China had runners across the world draining the supplies of masks and stuff.

Then when countries tried to restock you cut off exports of the same supplies.

Even your "allies" got shafted.

At that time all countries in the world were banning the export of medical supplies, not just China. China didn't even have enough supplies for itself at the time, so why blame us?

it depends on whether the US enter into recession on this, currently it ranges from 40-60% chance from different outlook forecast if the tariff plan go ahead.

If the US had not entered into recession, this is going to take around 3 to 5 years to readjust itself, settle with the new post tariff trading environment, where company move their asset in and out of US to reach the equilibrium, and within that 3 to 5 years, prices will be high and supplies will be low, kind of like how PS5 sales after COVID.

If US had entered into recession after this, then it's going to take anything from 5 to 10 years to stabilise the financial market before we are going to be able to readjust, that 5 to 10 years (depends on who's in charge and what they did) will see a wave of post 2008 QE style bail out, works with limited supplies and demand, there are going to be a bad time because if we are entering into recession, we are most likely be in some sort of Stagflation (Where growth a low while inflation are high) if this is the case, the Fed would have to deal with one thing at a time, the more dired and more critical thing first, which mostly will be inflation, which mean rising interest rate, which inhibit market, and once the inflation is taken care of, then we will need to take care of growth issue, which mean bailout, handout, lower interest rate, and stimulus. And then we are having to address the global supply chain issue.

This never going to be a "too late" scenario, just how long it would take to un-F ourselves is the issue here.

This is cht that delusional celestials in here won't tell you because Chairman Xi makes sure no bad news/truth is told how Tariff war is hurting celestial land.

Unbelievable how bosses are cleaning out factories and warehouses overnight and not paying their employees.

Seems china has become the street vending capital of the war now that factories are closing.

the US will lose $90 billion alone in tourism thanks to Trump scaring all foreigners left and right. that alone is a big chunk for some economies. his tariff global war even targets penguins. the US consumers will cut back on spendings. Trump is on his mission to destroy US democracy, justice, parliament, universities, allies, friends, NATO, UN, and the rest.

I think the US slips into recession is the least concern. I am afraid Trump will lead America into a paradise of universe.

There is a saying: Der Weg zur Hölle ist mit guten Vorsätzen gepflastert. the way to hell is plastered by good moods.

I posted this article because of this brilliant line:

"Trump is known for off-handed comments that may be somewhat less than precise," she said.

That's a polite way of saying "Trump lies".
LOL.

It's true that the trade war has made some factories layoffs and job losses, but the people in your video have nothing to do with the layoffs.

The place in the video is the Longhua train station in Shenzhen. People who go to work in Shenzhen from other provinces stop here to look for jobs, and people who go home from Shenzhen stop here to wait for trains. It's the most chaotic train station in Shenzhen, and it's full of people staying temporarily, whether it's during a trade war or not.

If you pay close attention, many of those lying around are using the latest Apple phones and wearing Nike shoes.

You Americans could obviously use pictures of real layoffs looking for jobs, for example, the job market is also very crowded and the pictures are stunning. But instead, you make fake videos with train station crowd videos... I'm guessing you guys are trying to stir up empathy in Americans by using homeless people, right? After all, America is full of homeless people. But these people aren't hobos, they're just temporarily waiting at a train station.

Let me give you a graph. The real flow of people looking for work in China looks like this:
