Turkey Greece Relations and Maritime Disputes

You expect Turkey to yeild you the entire eastern Mediterranean over some tiny speck of dust?

You choose, either No EEZ for Kastellerizo.... or if you insist that Kastellerizo has an EEZ, then Turkey has to acquire Meis.

Baldy thinks he is so smart, but if Turkey were to buy a platform(and Turkey these days doesn't need to anymore for most things), they would likely be putting an order that larger than Greece for something, meaning Baldy expects that foreign company to ignore a larger market and sell to a smaller market. lol

Please start posting from actual sources and not Clash Report which is often unreliable and promotes every Turkish hype story.

@hyperman @Foinikas and others can anyone tell me why The Greek President and Turkish President BOTH were going to Abu Dhabi, before MBZ got a stroke?

The same time frame indicated a trilateral meeting of some sort, any idea what the agenda was?

Yes, my Turkish friends tell me Turks and Greeks hate each other. Like Pakistanis and Indians hate each other.

No coincidence, the Turkish meeting was planned a long time ago, as part of the regional tour by Erdogan. He went to Saudi, planned UAE and now in Ethiopia.

Not sure why the Greeks were going but its not a trilateral format.

I wouldn't say that. You cannot take a flight between India and Pakistan and there is no trade. And no real engagement. Turkey and Greece things are fairly normal, atleast for the average person. There are minor disagreements but nothing immediate.

Baldy thinks Greece is an important Country in the world and Turkiye produce nothing

Turkiye will not buy anything from abroad for the Navy
Turkiye produce its own MILDEN ( AY ) class AIP Submarine .....

1 -- Greece had begged Germany to halt the TYPE-214 Submarine project for the Turkish Navy but Germany rejected Greece's request

2 -- MICO and DENDIAS had asked MACRON ( France ) to block the sale of METEOR Missiles to Turkiye but they were unsuccessful

3 -- MICO and DENDIAS had asked The UK to block the sale of Eurofighters to Turkiye but they were unsuccessful.

4 -- MICO and DENDIAS had asked USA to block the sale of 40 F-16V Fighter Jets to Turkiye but they were unsuccessful.

Nobody is taking MICO and DENDIAS seriously or taking a stance against Turkiye which is more important Country than Greece

Greeks and Turks visiting will probably get most friendly behavior and occasionally free drinks or gifts, unless they encounter some uber fanatic rude people, but usually relations are normal to great compared to other nationalities both Greek and Turkish people encounter.

On the other hand,I don't know how safe individuals or groups of Pakistanis would be in India and Indians in Pakistan. I imagine hostile reactions from crowds or refusal of services

I have actually seen videos of both sides visiting each other's countries, but on foreign passports. The real issue I think is that unlike Turkey Greece, there is no way to interact via official channels, the border is sealed, the flights don't exist, the trade doesn't exist and the govt has constant tension. Whereas a Greek who wants to go to Turkey can hop on a Turkish airlines flight to Istanbul and fly tomorrow without even visa issues.

Scenes like this aren't out of the ordinary. And people aren't upset with people personally, they might be annoyed with the govt policy or whatever. And outside of the clowns who fly on Turkish airlines, book a hotel room in a Turkish hotel, get in line at the hagia sofia, pay the entry fee to then stand a take a photo with a Greek flag and then post on instagram about "conquering" Constantinople, this isn't usually any incident. lol

Every summer, on our way from Germany to Turkiye for vacation, we spend a few days visiting Greece. Apart from the grumpy faces of the Greek customs officers, we haven't had any problems

Most of Greek People actually get along well with the Turks, and 1,2 millions of Turks vacation on Greek islands - Greece every year.

There are far more fanatics in Greece and the Greek Cypriot side. Turks do not harbor any hatred or animosity towards Greeks.
