Washington is ran by Jewish Americans. They most certainly won't allow a Syrian nation state again.

The obstacle to that is US deployment in eastern Syria enabling Kurdish occupation.

Show me where US government said it would withdraw and what they remain for? They have no justification at all. Besides sabotaging the country because Israel likes it better that way.

This is true, but the very fact that Tom Barrack for the time being has won the internal battle at the state dept against Rubio, as being the point man on Syria policy and wholesale dumping of the SDF and labeling the YPG as the PKK is significant. The US withdrawal only happens if all of Jazira is consolidated, and the Daesh prisoners are dealt with. And for that to happen, the PKK needs to be removed.

The consolidation of Syria is a bigger priority than the US withdrawal. One begets the other in many way. if Syria still is not consolidated, the PKK with their own little psuedo state would be able to host the US bases citing the Daesh threat. And lobby in Washington for its legitimization.

What you fail to understand is that the US will have bases with or without SDF. They are in Al-Tanf with the SNA already and the one in the north as well. The US staying has no barring on SDF survival or whatever.

I think you are jumping the gun. What Israel is demanding/looking for is not a peace deal but a comprehensive regional surrender to Israel without establishing a Palestinian state.

Even President Sharaa said there are many pressing issues such as Gaza, Two State Solution, and 1974 agreement that Israel is not abiding by.

Israel cannot get a normalization, this is his position and position of Riyadh, while it's trying to annihilate the Palestinian people and wipe them out of exisistence.

Syria and Arabs can ally with US and align with US interests in region irrespective of Israel. Problem is Jewish-American community works around the clock to prevent that and that won't change until American people free themselves from Israeli/Mossad blackmail.

Arabs are pro-US and have had good ties with them forever. It's Israel that's the problem holding the region back.

Barrack is threatening Lebanon with Greater Syria to force Lebanese establishment to end Hizbies existence. Don't get me wrong, I hate them wholeheartedly but this is clearly a plot in favour of Israel. We need to be careful.

Historically outside of the Maronites everyone has been Pan Arabist and supportive of Greater Syria, these groups opposed the French Separating and creating Lebanon in the first place. But I don't see it as realistic with Syria completely destroyed and not fully consolidated and stable yet. Syria has bigger issues to worry about that consolidating Lebanon.

Oh undoubtably, he is a state dept employee afterall. Not to be trusted, but more favorable to Turkey than Brett McGurk and Rubio and known enemies of Turkey.

I don't see the "Greater Syria" threat as realistic for Lebanon, and there is zero chance Hezbollah disarms, and no one in Lebanon is foolish enough to try to confront them on that.

Partially, so there was a fight over the Kurdish strategy and there were some Pro Turkey people and anti Turkey people, and for now at the State Dept or atleast in terms of Envoys to Turkey and Syria, the pro Turkey people have won. CENTCOM is sidelined, and Barrack is calling the shots on US policy towards Turkey and Syria, and that has to do with the Trump Erdogan relationship, and a multitude of other things, namely that they want to keep Turkey on their side as Turkey is a key player in the Black Sea as the Ukraine Russia war wages, and there is a concern that it expands to beyond Ukraine, like Moldova or the Baltics. There is also the caucasus and the middle east, where Turkey is a key actor and power player.

So they have been making significant efforts to fix the relationship since Jeff Flake, and thats expanded under Trump and Barrack.

There are still some concerns, namely Rubio is an enemy of Turkey with the Gulenist ties and the Anti Turkey Zionist lobby. But he is not calling the shots on Turkey and Syria, Barrack is, via direct Trump directives. The really good news is Brett McGurk is removed, since Biden left.

Yeah,but ever since the Lebanese Civil War,I think the Maronites would more closely want an independent pro-Israeli Lebanon,than being part of a hardcore Sunni-led Greater Syria. Although I don't think they'll implement it or would want to even try to annex Lebanon right now,I agree.
