These rebels are the lesser evil. There's no doubt. I frankly have no time to explain to you the inner dynamics of HTS that lead to the current leadership. They are by no way the same organisation they once used to be. Yes, they're Islamists but so is the entire Middle East. A British conservative and an English fascist are both on the right side of the political spectrum, yet, they couldn't be more different from each other.

Learn to differentiate and I'm writing this to you as a full-blown liberal and secular dude.

What took place in Gaza basically took place across the whole of Syria, the primary instigators of all that murder was Assad, Iran and Russia. The indiscriminate bombing that takes place in Gaza is what the Russians/Assadists conducted across the whole of Syria.

But ultimately the geopolitical game that is playing out is that no one, not america, not russia, not the EU, not Isreal, not Iran, not Assad, not the PKK, not the gulf states wanted to take Turkiye's security concerns into account. Big mistake.

The only power that stood by the rebel forces the entire time was Turkiye.
