It happened in Cyprus when the Greeks tried to annex the island and exterminate the Muslim population, now defacto half the island belongs to Turkiye. You can apply this process to Libya, Syria, Iraq and even places like Azerbaijan indirectly.

You want a new Turkish empire, the way you get the Turks to build one is you attack them constantly forcing them react within their capabilities.
