I don't understand why since so many years Syrian rebels, western powers have failed to topple Bashar AL Assad government..... agreed Syria had a capable military but since 2013 they are isolated and taking hit from all the directions still there is no sign of that Assad leaving the power ..... what is the secret behind this?

SAA always has been no good since the start of infighting in Syria. If not for Hezbollah, Iranian advisors and militias, Russians, Assad govt would have crumbled long ago. Still, Assad never left even when Damascus was being shelled.

Bashar never wanted to be president,but after Basel died,the best candidate was his sister. Still,she was a woman and the Arabs were not used to having a woman as a leader. So Bashar was chosen.

Those who used to say they wanted to be friends with Assad again,are now supporting the attacking radicals and other armed gangs to start the war again.
