SDF are importing their militants from outside Syria. Primarily from Iran and Iraq.

They are foreign terrorists.

Good luck to President Ahmed Sharaa and Syrian people in getting their country back from terrorist militias that work for Israel and USA

US fake drama with Iran is mostly about Syria and Gaza

We may simultaneous US-Israeli attacks on Gaza and Syria

Especially after Trump tweet giving Israel greenlight to genocide Gaza

Goal in Gaza is ethnic cleansing either through forceful means or surrender

Goal in Syria is asserting balkanization of Syria and preventing government from returning Syria back to its people

Probably why US cancelled strike on Iran

That Imp can scream all he wants, the only thing that matters is how determined Turkey is. Quite frankly he isn't the one running Syria policy, its Thomas Barrack and Trump and they are largely pro Turkey, and outside of a direct intervention and a kinetic exchange, there is nothing Graham can do if Turkey acts. He can threaten sanctions and every carry out sanctions, it doesn't matter, this is more important.

Its like this scene from Inglorious Bastards. "More like Chewed out, I've been chewed out before".

Turkey is far stronger than it was 10 years ago, and is far more independent, and even in that matter, it still carried out operation peace spring.

If Turkey acts decisively, it will be over before it begins, and before they have had the chance to react in congress or move assets around.

edit:

There is a congressional recess

Martin Luther King Jr. Day Work Period: January 19 – January 23

during that time Congress will not be in session, so anything that happens in that week, they can't respond do as none of the senators or congress people will be in office, and when you factor in the Iran matter, they will be preoccupied with other things, and this is probably a very good timing to hit for any significant and short operations.

I don't know what Turkey is planning or what Syrian government is.

Syrian government appears to want Deir Ezzor and Raqqa back. Kurdish PKK are just squatting there with backing of USAF and they'll stay permanently like in Iraq if someone doesn't do something about it.

US and Israel will not allow it in my opinion but that's fine the Syrian government has to push through with an offensive but also popular uprising inside these provinces.

US has to be challenged on its policies or else they'll create a Kurdistan which US and Israel will militarily protect.

Personally I do not buy US and Israeli propaganda about not being prepared for strikes on Iran. Iran cannot punch back significantly.

Israel probably has eyes on Gaza and wants to complete its rampage there. It wants US and Gulf Arabs to lead war on Iran while they ethnically cleanse Gaza.

But now that Syrians appear to be making move to remove PKK, the calculations have changed a bit.

US and Israel are probably considering multi front conflict now with not everyone being on same side. In fact there may be 3-4 sides and 7-10 parties involved in it. This is why they're taking extra caution to prepare for what could transpire in Syria - Gaza - Sudan - Egypt - Yemen , etc....

They remember that Syrians made a move to topple Assad after war on Hezbollah had concluded. And while Israel was still viciously attacking Gaza.

Their fake praise of Syrian government is disingenuous and we know how they actually feel. They're just doing it temporarily to scramble on how they want to approach this issue when Turks and Saudis, Qatari's have interests there.

Israel hates Syria and Syrian people

After pretending for 14 years it was on their side

Kurdish citizens want to go back enjoying their country

They don't want this foreign Iranian and Iraqi terrorist militia that's funded by US and Israel to rule them

📌 Syrian troops poised to attack SDF-held towns in Aleppo and Deir Ezzor to pressure stalled talks.

📌 Up to five Syrian army divisions could join the offensive; full-scale campaign possible if talks fail.

📌 Eastern Arab tribes may turn against SDF if fighting reaches Deir Ezzor.

📌 SDF controlled key oil fields in Deir Ezzor, which the Syrian government insists should be under central state control.

📌 The SDF condemned the military build-up; US not explicitly opposing limited Syrian operation but calls for de-escalation.
