How long before Israel takes out all these changes? What is to stop Israel from doing so?

The problem for Syria is that its conventional deterrence capabilities have fallen so low, that it does not have the military deterrence space to rebuild anymore.

I do think there will be a lot of "mowing the grass" in Syria going forward, and there won't be anything to stop that from happening.

Imho of course.

We will see this, and the post in the Jerusalem Post is the first indication of that (imho) of don't waste your time, we will take it out.

Lets see, it is a view.

lol, they can't even Mow Hezbollah, and the price for attacking a state repeatedly who has't fired at you, and is supported by Saudi and Turkey, and to an extent has established working relations with Washington, is not a good strategy.

People who think they will treat Syria like Gaza with "mowing the lawn" don't seem to understand that Syria is not isolated. There are may factors which work against Israel on Syria. Syrians are playing the long game here.

Lets see how things develop, I don't see Syria building out a traditional Air Defense anytime soon, more akin to ambush air defense and other capabilities, while relying on Turkish over the horizon integration.

There is no rush, this will be a slow play, it will start with Turkey building out its own air defense system in Turkey in a full spectrum defense, then moving assets into Syria at Turkish bases and then a consolidation and slow push south, under with the Syrian Air Defense will be built.

So far the Israeli hopes for Syria have failed. Syria didn't disintegrate, Syria consolidated, Syria then got sanctions removed. Syria then took over the Northern Territories, and managed to get a US withdrawal out of Syria, as the economy grows, so too with military strength.

Logically, the problem here is that Israel is an irrational actor here, so anything goes as there are literally no constraints on Israel. They have committed a full scale genocide against Palestine, flattened every single building in Gaza and there has not been a single sanction against Israel from either Europe, USA or even the middle east.

Lets see - but I won't be surprised If I wake up one morning soon, to hear the news of over 1000+ strikes been done in Syria a few hours as pre-emptive strikes against "terrorist infrastructure or impending strike from Syria, some other nonsense excuse".

If anyone was going to get "annoyed" at Israel, and wanted to act on that, they would have by now forced Israel to vacate Mount Hermon and all the UN demilitarise zones would they have not? But, they have not. In fact, remind me when Syria has asked for Israel to leave those "newly" acquired land ?

With every going day, there are more reasons to attack Syria again to mow the grass, not less, one of them being Netanyahu's personal legal problems needing another military distraction.

Israel attacked the MOD building Syria, that's how little they care.

Time will tell of course.

You haven't been paying attention then, the Syrian govt has outlined a return to 1974 lines.

It doesn't actually, b/c it can't make any strategic gains as we have seen Hezbollah managing to stay intact along with its capability. Despite a year of one sided bombing. Syria is a more difficult arena than Lebanon. We are beginning to see the limitations of their strategy.

The longer this goes, the stronger Syria gets. They are already busy with Lebanon and Iran, they would be foolish to open up a new front.

If there is action it would be in the south in all likelyhood, the Suwaida matter is still not settled, and thats probably the hardest puzzle b/c of the Israeli involvement.

Is it confirmed that the U.S is now out of Syria ?

How much longer before Syria asks/requests/demands it lands back including the Golan heights

yes, last troops exited in April. Only Turkish troops, Russian and the uninvited Israel.

Syria has been asking and demanding.

If you are asking if when Syria will take action? It will be when the grand war comes, when there is a full on war with Israel, but as of right now, Syria is not ready, right now preparations are being made. We may be years away, we may be decades away, when the opportunity is ripe and capacity is there, there will be an operation.
