Anyone with an Intelligence Quotient greater than that of a dolphin can realize that this "Syrian opposition" as well as ISIS/Alqaeda are CIA/MOSSAD blackops groups. The final proof of this is that 24 hours after the "truce" in Lebanon they began attacking anti-Israel targets in Syria.

This is happening because Israel realized that what rearms Hezbollah and prevents it from being defeated is in Syria and not in Lebanon, so they returned with the plan from 10 years ago(which they were also defeated) which is to try to destroy the Syrian government and put a Zionist puppet there.

It is more complicated then that and branding rebels as cio tools is part of assad propaganda machine from beginning. I would say that rebels in general are just rivals to other weaponised islamic groups under patronage by Iran, inability to solve differences among those served only for horrific assad regime and russia.
Hamas for example fully supports syrian rebels while they are allied with Hezbollah, so yes it can work if the common goal is shared.
