Turkey Syria - News & Updates

I appreciate the point of view of the pro-Assad crowd. They think that this is a blow to the anti-Zionist resistance. They look at this from the strategic point of view and it may be true that the resistance may have been weakened.

The other way to look at the issue is from the humanitarian point of view. There are millions of Syrians living as refugees and thousands rotting in jails. Most people are happy to have gotten rid of Assad.

I think the wellbeing of the people of Syria comes before anything else. Hopefully, things will settle down, although it is to be expected that the Anglo-Zionists will try to create as much mischief as they can.
Even that strategic point of view is disputable, unless you do not have means to protect civilians from enemy that is flawed strategy and Hezbollah practically capitulated because of it.
Whole resistance strategy is asymetric it works for cornered and dedicated subject even in Gaza regardless huge price paid but within various and loosely connected states obviously not and never will. You have to be peer or more advanced in war technology to challenge opponent with prospects for successful outcome.

I am not pro-Assad by any means but let's be clear on two things:
  1. Things in Syria will not settle down. Zionists will make sure Kurd and other issues keep the fire burning between HTS and SNA.
  2. The only clear beneficiary will be Israel because the weapons pipeline to Hezbollah is now gone.

From the movie "A Fistful of Dollars"
Joe : Every town has a boss.
Silvanito : Yes, but when there are two around, I'd say there is one too many!

Not necessary as there are some signals that iranians are willing to negotiate with HTS but i assume then they would want something transactional.

Its really upsetting to me to see these people cry about Saddam, then defend Assad and what he did as a minority ruling over a majority. Like how do you not see the parallels and the contradiction?

Most people would have no problem condemning Saddam's actions, but these people defend Assad like its a religous duty.

They literally had an industrial crematorium in that prison in Damascus, we have no idea how many people they killed b/c they destroyed any trace of them, no burials just straight incinerated like the Oven in Auschwitz. No record of who was snatched up off the street and who was killed and where their remains are. Anyone who disappeared, you don't know if they left the country or if they were put into one of these ovens.

Children born from rape of women, and they have several children and they have no idea who the father is, and the child doesn't even know sunlight, let alone hat bird, trees and other things are.

If Syria allows weapons flow from Iran into Lebanon, then Zionists will double their efforts to create mischief within Syria. All these militant groups are barely strung together and it wouldn't take much to splinter them off and cause internal fighting.

There is zero chance that Israel will let Syria breathe peacefully if Iranian weapons are transiting through it.

Also, HTS has made it crystal clear to SNA that it will support Kurds in Syria. Turkey has jumped after a carrot and ended up in a ditch. it just doesn't know it yet.

As always, Muslim leaders are led by the Zionists to chase short term goals while the Zionists plan ten steps ahead.

They are destroying the air defence network of Syria as we speak.

If the rebels dare allow weapons to flow to Hezbollah they will drop 2000lb bombs on their heads.

Assad at least had the security of some decent air defences and so they had to fire stand off missiles at Damascus.

This is nonsense.

Russia has just committed maybe 1/3rd of its airforce to Ukraine as Ukraine barely has an airforce.

After the intial RuAF heavy bombing runs on the rebels, the Russians gave up as the SAA had no fight in it at all.

Sending 2-3 more squadrons of SU-34/35s to Syria would not have been an issue to enable carpet bombing of large formations but why bother when SAA does not want to fight on the ground?
Lol. You don't have a clue wht is the state of the Russin air force going on 3 years of war where they still don't have air superiority over Eastern Ukraine. What was the state of the Russian air force before Ukraine war? What were Russia's fighter MCR? Stop looking at numbers on paper and use logic for once.

I think it is you who does not have a clue.

Russia is rubbish at SEAD and so is unable to knock out the numerous NSAMs, Patriot and SAMP-T systems that West supplied Zelensky.

Syrian rebels have only manpads.

Expected better from you.

I think it is all but certain that they will split up Syria. One of the new countries will be Kurdistan, supported by Israel/West, no matter how much Turkey jumps up and down.

There is some real funny shit going on between the Baathist Assadists and the khomeinists.

People like Partisangirl are blaming Iran for the collapse of the regime, with conspiracies like Iran knew this was going to happen and they didn't bother helping.

And then the Khomeinists talking about Assad betrayed them for the GCC money strategy. listening to the UAE instead of them. lol

Lol. Oh sweety those weapon systems started arriving over a year after the invasion so what was Russia excuse then?

Btw I never expect better from you. 😉

You're right about the lack of protection for civilians. Israel seems to have achieved a 100:1 kill ratio. While all their casualties were soldiers the Palestinians lost mostly women and children.

The Judeo-Christian war strategy is to ignore fighting on the ground and to go straight for killing civilians to break the morale of the other side. This strategy is justified by verses in their Bible.

For any future war Muslims must protect civilians and/or be willing to inflict similar reprisals to establish deterrence.

If true, it basically nullified all of SDF gains in Eastern Syria during the last 10 days.
