I think I'm only going to post here from now on in the Turkish section, those Iranians in that middle east thread are incredibly rude and hostile. I can see why @MMM-E gets into fights with them so often. lol
Most of them are hypocrites.

CNN witnesses moment Syrian prisoner is freed from Assad’s forced detention

There is no deal, all of Assad regime crime will be prosecuted.

I think it’s up to the locals to take that decision. Not those of us sitting hundreds or thousands of miles away

Is there any statement which says there will be no deal for anything? Of course straight crimes are different. I already have read that torturers and key prison officials will be prosecuted, which sounds about right

Key prison officials ? They do it must be from the top order. From the bottom to the top should be prosecuted.

Everyone being prosecuted in the form of revenge is not a practical solution if a society has to move on.

That’s the hard truth.

Yes there needs to be a balance and the egregious criminals cannot go unpunished. But terming everyone as a criminal would be a mistake

If the new regime has to grow and consolidate it will have to make these choices.

Edit: if you’re referring only to prison officials, you may have a point. I was speaking of all of the officials in Assad’s regime. Army officers, bureaucrats etc. Can’t prosecute them all or pick up people on the slightest charge

Of course I am talking about people who make crime. Check my above post to see the context
