Turkey Syria - News & Updates

Greece only recently had such "good" relations with Israel, which even now aren't anything special. They are simple "you sell,I buy" relations. Israel hasn't really helped us against Turkey in our history.

"So just to make sure, you do support Palestine recognition for Greece even at the expense of it ruining Israeli Greek relations, like whats happening with Ireland and Greece currently. And it interfering with the Greece/Israeli cooperation to counter Turkey in the Eastern Medeterranian, am I correct in understand that, just want to make sure, so I don't make assumptions based on Mitsotakis and his outlook. lol"

Btw Foinikas you never answered this question I asked in the previous comment, with a simple Yes or No. In the present context. Much appreciated if you would answer with a simple Yes or No, to recognize Palestine like Ireland just did for Greece, do you support it? I don't want to "misrepresent" you by assuming your outlook is different from Mitsotakis again, on this matter atleast. lol

A simple Yes or No

"Yes, I support Greece recognizing Palestine as a State, just like Ireland did".

"NO, I support Greece recognizing Palestine as a State, just like Ireland did".

Something very interesting is happening in Lebanon.

Prime Minister Mikati in Lebanon is Sunni and usually he is an opponent of Hezbollah inside Lebanon, and was critical of them during the Hezbollah and Israel conflict recently, to the point where the pro Iran people and other even labeled him a crypto zionist or whatever, but he has been making more critical statements of Israel, especially after his meeting with Erdogan recently.

Then you add in the Walid Jumblatt who is the Leader of the Druze in Lebanon, and very influential in Druze politics regionally. Historically aligned with Hezbollah Politically meeting Erdogan.

They would have fallen in 2013 without the Iranian Militia infusion from Hezbollah. They were still in Crisis in 2015 before Russia intervened. When you removed the two pillars, they showed their true capacity and motivation.

You think its a conspiracy or a deal, and I'm telling you its more simple than that. They didn't want to die for Assad. hell in the south, they started taking their uniforms off and dumped them for civilian clothing and decided to join the rebels in the southern front.
They would have fallen without Russian and Iranian help. You know why? Because all the locusts fell and started support every opposition group with huge amounts of money, weapons and ammo and in the case of Turkey, bases and diplomatic support too.

Huge players fell into Syria, importing all kinds of radicals from wherever. You had TOWs appear and turn the tide of battle just like NLAW and Javelin did in Ukraine.

Greece-based Kathimerini:

💢 Turkish Transport Minister Abdülkadir Uraloğlu said that an EEZ agreement will be made with Syria. Athens and Nicosia are following the developments closely. Aid may be requested from the EU.

💢 From now on, the EU may add a sentence to its reports on Turkey stating that the sovereign rights of states bordering Syria not only on land but also at sea must be respected.

First try to save Greenland. President Trump has made his intent clear and present.....

Who even told you or where did you read that "noone supports Assad outside of his sect"??

Is that why there were thousands of Christians and Sunni Muslims in the SAA as officers and soldiers? is that why he had so much support from Greek Orthodox,Armenian Orthodox,Shia, some Druze and a lot of Sunnis?

Logic is unbelieveably ridiculous.

So we need to believe that before Iran and Russia turned up in the 2010s that the two Assads with just the 10-12% Alawite population were able to hold the rest of the population "hostage"?

Womp womp. Loser PM giving lip service and nothing more. The only way to send Israelis out is if they're no longer breathing this PM doesn't have the stomach to do that.

Thats how the concept of Dominant Minorities works.

You don't need to be a majority to establish power over a majority.

You can rule a people without being a majority, by firstly separating the others into as many separate groups as possible, playing those dynamics against each other, as well and creating a subgroup of patronage amongst the largest groups, to facilitate subservience.

Also brute force and making an example of those who oppose you like Hama 1982.

You can rule a people without being a majority, b/c firstly separating the others into as many separate groups as possible, playing those dynamics against each other, as well and creating a subgroup of patronage amongst the largest groups, to facilitate subservience.

BTW since we are on the concept of Minority Rule, the Israelis have their own plan/outlook on the matter, not sure if anyone is familiar with the Yinon Plan.

Its still important b/c this guy was seen as "Israel's guy" in countering Hezbollah, he would usually be the one saying Hezbollah is endangering Lebanon etc etc over Hezbollah fighting with israel. But now his rhetoric is more confrontational with Israel. Usually inside Lebanon, Hezbollah is the most vocal anti Israel element, idk what this means for Sunni and Hezbollah relations inside Lebanon, but its very interesting nonetheless.

Would be interesting if he decided to offer Hezbollah tactical political support against Israel. would be a break from the current political alignments inside Israel.

Lebanon has 4 main "Poles" of Politics, with the others being more smaller elements(Armenians, Greek Orthodox, Palestinian refugees etc).

there is the Shia Current with Hezbollah(Most anti Israel) and Amal(anti Israel but softer than Hezbollah).

There are the Druze led by Walid Jumblatt(historically aligned/allied with Hezbollah and Amal, Pan Arabist in Politics, critical of Israel)

Lebanese Sunni Bloc(formerly led by the Hariri family)(opposed to Hezbollah, sometimes accused of being Saudi Proxies, and neutral to soft critique on Israel, they criticize but nothing significant in terms of actual armed confrontation)

Maronite Catholics(these are divided into several different factions from those more pragmatic to the phalangists who are outright zionist collaborators and who are straight up anti Arab)

The historical alignment has been

and

Its signifiant now, b/c the old lines potentially might not be relevant, everything could potentially be in flux with the changes in Syria.
