How else can he stay in power? He knows that if war stops and they have elections,he will fall and maybe even tried for mishandling the hostages matter. His government was about to fall before the war,then suddenly...Hamas attacks and he finds an excuse to stay in power. Then goes after Lebanon,then Iran.

His government wasn't close to falling. Israel was heading far right for years. It's the dominant sentiment in their society.

Egypt may be attacked before end of year. It's clear Israel is recreating 1967 like situation in Middle East but this time around on agreements will be signed. It will just be new status quo. Israel will occupy new lands and won't leave.
