Nope, he made a point about equipment. He is 100% correct. Without US equipment Greece, Israel AND Turkiye would be toast.
Check the comment I quoted in the previous post. It doesn't mention Turkey. He implies that Turkey is now self-reliant and has no need for US equipment, while the rest can't do without US equipment.

In the next post he will be boasting about the 1500+ indigenous military projects and how pathetic countries like Greece and Israel can't do anything.

I do not assume to have the psychic powers to predict what people will post, but right now pretty sure no NATO nation and Israel can fight a long war without US support. We all know Turkiye is not self reliant yet, the whole Eurofighter/F-35/F-16V drama clearly demonstrates that, they are however on a serious roadmap to self reliance, which is more then can be said for many countries

Israel and Greece dont develop air platforms .... almost full of American Weapons

but Turkiye develops/produce its own weapons to become real military power

These are future plans and good ones. Right now in actual service, Turkiye has nothing more advanced then APG-68 and AMRAAMs on F-16C/Ds.

This is not an insult or criticism just fact. Agree though,, future roadmap for Turkiye looks amazing

There is no future for Israel and Greece without American Weapons

Israel and Greece are begging the US not to let Turkiye to have the F-35
remove the F-35 from their Air Forces and see what will happen

I am not talking about the KAAN for 2030s
I am not talking about upcoming Eurofighters and modernized F-16 OZGUR-2 Jets

even KIZILELMA and ANKA-3 unmanned stealth Fighter Jets will be able to shoot down their F-15 , F-16V and RAFALE in BVR combat

------------------------------

Turkiye has MURAD-100A AESA Radar and 100+ km GOKDOGAN air to air Missile to equipe KIZILELMA and ANKA-3 unmanned stealth Fighter Jets by 2026-2027 to hit F-15 , F-16V , RAFALE in BVR combat

100+ km GOKDOGAN air to air Missile in inventory
KIZILELMA and ANKA-3 to enter the inventory in 2026

Turkish Air Force’s modernized F-16 ÖZGÜR Fighter Jet successfully fired a domestically developed GOKDOGAN BVR air-to-air missile using the indigenously produced MURAD-100A AESA Radar

Like many on here I genuinely admire Turkiye and the Turkish people, some of whom I call close friends, but it is really hard to have a reasoned debate with you sometimes

The plans of the White House seems to point to one direction; kill KAAN project.

That is the reason why they wouldn´t eventually grant the F119 export and much less license for building them inside Turkey.

On the other hand any hypothetical F35 deal would try to replace need for a 5 generation KAAN.

While US has no power to cancel the project, they can disincentivize it, obstructing exporting technologies and easing their replacement.

But reality is a knife of two edges. US is trying desperately to sell more F35 to close markets for J35 (that is why eased the export to Saudi Arabia) and because USAF and US Navy/Marines have CUT the total purchase near to a half.

US won´t have never 1.200 F35 and while the flight cost per hour have been reduced, the total lifetime cost (owner cost) is RAISING because this cut.

Thats makes mandatory to review all cancelled or non-authorised contracts (saudi arabia or Morocco) to replace the main users cancellations (US). But at medium-long term the european owner and middle east owner (israel and saudi Arabia) will pay more for logistics because they cannot simply replace the total cut of F35 purchases.

This week Spain have received the visit of Lockheed Martin´s director company that even have promised Spain to have higher participation in the logistic line.

That is why Turkey will be granted to purchase them also.

Good points, but now it is too late for US to stop the momentum here. Turks will see KAAN through for strategic reasons, not just in order to get a good plane. Once bitten twice shy.. They will take F-35s if offered and complete KAAN.

Similar to the situation PAF was in post 2001.. US turned back on the taps and offered F-16C/Ds as well as surplus A/Bs to PAF. We took them but carried on with JF-17 knowing restrictions would be round the corner again (and we were proven right again)

Turks have learnt this lesson themselves and of course from PAF, when they helped us with our F-16 fleet and training during 90s sanctions

In fact,it is ironic when you see Turkey desperate to acquire modern fighter jets fast,
despite the big announcements of Ozgur,Kizilelma and KAAN.
True, it’s ironic, but we’re in a transition phase. Each project mentioned comes with its own unique and very different challenges, which is a rare situation.

- The Özgür Project has two main issues: 1- We don’t own the platform’s copyrights, and any upgrade with domestic components requires USA approval. The USA, understandably, either demands a high fee or refuses permission outright. 2- Over time, even upgraded F-16s lose value, with neither their maximum altitude nor characteristic of low observability meeting modern standards. So, is it really worth the cost to upgrade them? This is likely a question not just for me, but for those at the TURAF command level as well.

- The Anka-3 and Kızılelma face two key problems: 1- Their main engines, the TEI TF-6000/10000, aren’t ready yet. They will be ready in 3 years. 2- How exactly will we use them? The plan is to add about 20 to the inventory first, then develop unmanned combat aircraft doctrines—a process that will take years.

- Kaan, as everyone knows, has the F110 engine issue. And in the long term, there is the problem of developing the TF-35000 engine. The question that needs urgent answers: Will the GE F110 engines be available for mass production of Kaan Block 10s? If not, what’s the Plan B?

Exactly,good point there.

Edit: Generally your whole post makes good points and poses logical questions.

@Foinikas ;

Of all these projects, the one that makes me most hesitant is the Özgür Project. I think the others will work out somehow. But seriously, if even the upgraded F-16s are going to lose their value, what are we going to do with the hundreds of F-16s in our inventory? I'm really curious to see what the decision-makers think about this.

Merzifonlu

Do not give false information to the Greeks and other People

Fanatic Turk-haters later believe your ideas to be real, and calling Turkish projects propaganda ... They are getting the wrong idea by looking at You

Nobody said F-16 OZGUR-2 will be ready in 2026
The calendar that has been said since the beginning is between 2028 and 2030

If Turkish F-16s are going to lose their value, so will Greek ones as well

----------------------------------

200 F-16 OZGUR-2 will be enough to match with Iranian Air Force
also against Russia ... also French RAFALES in the Eastern Mediterranean
even if needed against Egypt

Our F-16 OZGUR-2 will be 4,5 gen Fighter with Gan based MURAD-100A AESA Radar , FEWS next gen EW Suite , Link16 / T-Link and 185-200+ km GOKBORA - GOKHAN air to air Missiles

-----------------------------

WARSIDT my reply to your post #786

There is no any dilemma .... ( Everything is going as planned )

1 -- Turkiye buys 44 Eurofighters with METEOR air to air Missiles between 2026 and 2030 ..... ( twin engine Fighter Jet )

2 -- Turkiye will modernize 200 F-16s with MURAD-100A AESA Radar and 185-200+ km GOKBORA - GOKHAN air to air Missiles until 2030

3 -- also 40 F-16V and 40 F-35A on agenda

4 -- also KIZILELMA and ANKA-3 unmanned stealth Fighter Jets on the way as of 2026-2027

5 or 6 different Platforms could be in inventory year by year until 2030 for DEAD-SEAD role and BVR combat

F-16 OZGUR-2
F-16V
Eurofighter
KIZILELMA
ANKA-3
Also if it happens , F-35A

let add KAAN for 2030-2035 plans .. ok

Do not give false information to the Greeks and other People
