Turkish Foreign Policy and Regional Geopolitics

“I would not be honest if I did not state my opinion very directly, especially after my previous remarks during the discussion of government reports, where I noted how the Karabakh movement was used to hinder the establishment of Armenia’s statehood.

Now, without hesitation, clearly and unequivocally, I want to state that I believe we should not continue the Karabakh movement,” Pashinyan said.

Dashnaks going crazy.

The transformation of this man from 2019 to 2021 is night and day and even more pronounced now.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan today to discuss cooperation on key issues in security and trade. The Secretary requested Türkiye’s support for peace in Ukraine and the South Caucasus. He appreciated Türkiye’s leadership in the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS and reiterated the need for close cooperation to support a stable, unified, peaceful Syria that is neither a base for international terrorism nor a pathway for destabilizing Iranian activities. The Secretary also noted recent advancements in bilateral trade and encouraged even greater economic partnership moving forward. Finally, the Secretary expressed concerns regarding recent arrests and protests in Türkiye.

Serious butt kissing by the Americans.

You can see the embarrassment on the faces of the public and some soldiers if you zoom in.

The Greek justice department is doing a research now after Turkish complaints.
You just don't go out in a parade in front of old people and children and say such vulgar slogans. And not just that,it's stupid,it's pointless. There's no need for it. Like you said, the MoD has rushed to investigate.

People in Türkiye see the recent events in Greece as a sign off military weakness and the absence of discipline and order in the Greek Armed Forces.

If you read what Marco Rubio says than it is like US and Turkey are the worlds best friends ever.

Havent you noticed the 1st and 2nd Trump administrations are always friendly for Turkey and they even got real Turkey lobbyists ?

Trump is also the only POTUS of the world who puts feathers in Erdogan’s ass: “Strong leader. Good leader. I like him. Confident leader.”

No POTUS did this before.

I was watching an early morning program today and they said the same thing. It shows lack of discipline. Usually such slogans were sang by hardcore units like Raider Forces and Demolition Squads and almost always without profanity during parades and public events. Apparently, the government is enraged about this. I remember a similar investigation took place in Turkey recently, but for officers taking an extra oath,to Kemal.

Yes. Asking us to help in South Caucasus means accepting Turkish dominance. The Armenians are furious right now.
Some news from our side is that Chevron will start searching for gas, coupled with Libya's direct/indirect acknowledgment of the Greek EEZ and finally, that Kim Gilfoyle who is to be the US ambassador to Greece, said something like "Now(with Trump)you can sleep safely". The media took this as saying "Erdogan won't try anything". But again,we'll see. You know and I know, that the Trump administration is weird and full of surprises.

Heh,bro I have to say,a lot of analysts and media here actually talk about Trump not being so fond of Erdogan right now. Not like the previous time. Trump always talks about people like this "Very good guy, very smart guy,he's a good friend of mine,oh what a beautiful country...lov-lovely people, lovely people...so yeah,I told them hey can we do this and they said yes,of course,so we'll do this and solve everything" 😂

Both sides of the same coin.
Trump assaulted the Congress. Erdogan assaulted the opposition.

Kim Gilfoyle

That woman is dumb as a brick, Trump is randomly appointing his friends and people that were sucking up to him, I would not take her seriously on anything. Maybe if the Secretary of State said something, but not her.

Now we know who is playing a key role in the recent Sudanese Offensive.

Half the administration is like that.
