Brother...

📍NEW — Greek Defense Minister Dendias stated that the biggest threat to his country is Turkey, based on Turkey's defense spending.

▪️"This question has been asked to me repeatedly; I believe I have explained in the clearest way where our primary and fundamental threat comes from, even demonstrating it with numbers."

▪️"This does not mean there are no other threats. However, when there is an explicitly expressed war threat (casus belli), everything else takes a backseat."

Our favorite Greek politician.

Modern Turkey wants to project influence in the territories of the former Ottoman Empire.

In his book "Strategic Depth" Ahmet Davutoğlu wrote about Turkey's role in the 21st century and about Turkey projecting power in the Balkans, Caucasus, Central Asia and the Middle East.

By 2050 Turkey will turn into a powerful and developed country with a population of 95mln people and a strong military.

Currently Turkey is a regional power with client states like Syria and Azerbaijan and military bases in Qatar and Somalia.

By 2050 Turkey can project influence into:

1) The Caucasus - Turkic Azerbaijan - a country with population and economy larger than Armenia and Georgia combined - is an ally of Turkey. Armenia is slowly moving away from Russia and negotiate normalization with Azerbaijan and Turkey. Georgia can become a country within the Turkish sphere of influence. Eventually Turkey can become the dominant power in the Caucasus.

2) Central Asia - After establishing presence in the Caucasus, Turkey can take advantage of ethnic links to Turkic republics of Central Asia and form a Confederation of Turkic Republics with Turkish influence spreading deep into Central Asia.

3) The Middle East - here Turkey has a client state in Syria and it can potentially influence broader Arab world by supporting Muslim Brotherhood and other Sunni Islamist groups and threaten regimes and spread influence in countries like Jordan, Saudi Arabia, UAE.

4) North Africa - Turkey already has influence in Western Lybia where it supports Tripoli based government

5) The Balkans and the Black Sea region - By 2050 Turkey will have a population of 95mln people compared to 5mln in Bulgaria, 8mln in Greece, 5mln in Serbia, 8mln in Hungary, 16mln in Romania and 30mln in Ukraine. Turkey with its huge economy and military will be in position to spread influence in the Balkans and the Black Sea region.

Turkish Navy can become a dominant force in the Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean by 2050.

This is a map of potential Turkish sphere of influence by 2050 (you should also include Balkans in it)

Eventually by spreading influence in the territories of the former Ottoman Empire, Turkey will collide with Russia in the Caucasus and the Black Sea region, with Iran in the Caucasus and the Middle East, with Israel in the Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean, and with Germany and Poland in the Balkans.

What's a Turkish ambulance doing in Yerevan though?

Transporting a sick Armenian back to Armenia who couldn't fly due to the severity of the sickness. So the Turks provided an Ambulance and drove him back to Armenia at the request of the family.

Now you got Hysterical people going crazy b/c they saw a Turkish ambulance inside Armenia.

What's weird is that it's Yerevan,it's the capital. You'd expect big hospitals and everything. But I guess it was a special case

The person went abroad for a special procedure and was returning home. Turkey helped them out.

But what this shows is despite all the Armenian politicians asking for borders to be open. The Armenians mentally are not ready for borders to be opened, b/c they are losing their minds over a Turkish ambulance entering to return a sick Armenians man to his home. Mentally they are still warped with the Dashnak mindset over seeing a turk or anything Turkish.

I think it was a shock because the war is still recent. If there was a Turkish ambulance here for example, nothing would happen. Could be a bulgarian either, nothing would happen. Maybe a few retarded conspiracy theorist pensioners would upload photos on Facebook and say things like "What is the government planning for Greece" or something. But majority would not care at all, maybe some would find it interesting.

What war? Turkey has not fired a single bullet. The Border between Turkey and Armenia has always been quiet.

Thats the problem in Armenia, the whole country is conspiracy theorists who upload and say "What is the government planning for Armenia". Nikol gets called a Crypto Turk every other day and even in parliament by the opposition. Their brains are broken.

They're not entirely wrong, but they're also not entirely correct. They can be a bit too hardline, but also have some right to be like that. It's a weird country.

Turkey did not fire a single bullet, no Turkish soldiers fought an Armenian. Its them being delulu over 100 year old events, some of them were screaming if the border opens, the turks will come to Yerevan and take it over or whatever, then you have another group screaming that Turkey and demand opening the border. Maybe the two groups should get together and decide between themselves what they want, instead of both yelling at Turkey.

Didn't you help the Azeris? You sent them weapons, you sent them ammo, you had F-16s stationed, you sold UAVs to them, you're their closest allies. You had big exercises before the war. That's how they see it. But acting like that for an ambulance is dumb.

Selling weapons everyone sold Armenia weapons, Russia, Iran, Europe. F-16s did not take part. Thats not something where you get upset over an ambulance, stop pretending that don't panic or get angry anytime they see a Turk inside Armenia, like he is coming to take their house or something. Every other day I see some dashnak saying stupid stuff like if the border opens, then Armenia will cease to exist, Turks will come and take all the houses or whatever.
