Turkish Foreign Policy and Regional Geopolitics

Trump is concentrating the army to 1 spot(China), otherwhise what are you going to do with all that soldiers in your own county? DEDEAGAC was pretty strong with a lot off armed forces. Tanks, IFV and airdefence systems.

Trump is changing long term US policies. Appointing flunkies at cabinet level positions. Napoléon Bonaparte said: Never interrupt your enemy when he is making mistakes.

Mitsotakis and Dendias invested so much into the whole sucking up to the US under Biden, doing all the Pro Ukraine stuff and sending weapons and essentially burning all bridges with Russia/Putin.

I believe that is what Foinikas meant by describing the Greek government's foreign policy as an attempt to be 'on the right side of history'. They burned down many bridges to the ground in the hope of earning brownie points in Washington. Now what?

In this very moment, France and Germany are preparing 'to invite Türkiye to Europe' - so to speak.

After the US exit from the old continent, policymakers in Western European capitals are taking a U-turn with regards to Türkiye. Suddenly, we're the good, reliable guy.

You know, that cousin you’re not particularly fond of, but you still find yourself visiting because there are important things that need to be taken care of.

Now, I'm not saying that we're becoming a member state of the EU - btw, I'm against this goal - but there will be an upgrade to our customs union with Europe and we'll get our fair share of PESCO projects.

I just can't take it anymore - every day, the orange clown does something silly. I dont know how we can copy with this for the next 3years, and 10.5 months ?!'

The UN General Assembly has passed a resolution condemning Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, co-sponsored by Kyiv and EU nations, despite the US voting against it and urging other states to do so

lol

The USA voted with Russia and against Ukraine and the entire alliance it had built up over 3 years. Sigh…. (lol!).

The clown is on BBC News night right now as I type!

Not only that, it looks like the trump administration lobbied several states and it still wasn't enough. Palau and Haiti are US client states, they went along but the rest seem to have either abstained or went with the EU.

Really is a show of collapse of American Soft power under this guy.

I think the Singapore Defense Minister described it the best, he said the US is now essentially got the reputation of a landlord seeking rent or a loan shark. That Ukraine minerals deal straight up look like mob boss exploitation shit from the Sopranos.

Hungary is the only European country that did not vote in favour of the resolution.

Please stop quoting from "Crash Report". Have their posts are fake news.
This rumor that somehow circulated,is false. It was stressed again and again on TV that there's no truth to it.

Well i did also say "Idk if this is true" in the very next post, but where there is smoke there is fire. Sometimes they announce things or things get leaked and then they backtrack after backlash.

Lets see, Everything with regards to US policy in Europe is in flux, nothing is certain at this current junction with Trump, nothing would be surprising.

• There is no US base in Alexandroupolis, it is a Greek facility that the US has access to as under the Mutual Defense Cooperation Agreement.
• It simply serves as a surface transportation hub when US equipment flows into and out of Europe. US transport personnel can surge to the location to manage episodic arrivals and departures of equipment.
• But this is not a US ‘base’ for the US to close.

It's true,it's not a US base. It's just a hub for US equipment and forces to go from Alexandroupoli to the Balkans, especially Bulgaria,Romania etc.

We might say "we gave Americans bases",but it's actually a US base.
