Turkish Land Forces | News & Discussions

That tank has been improved, you don't even need to look underneath, at first glance you can see the difference, even from the 2019 tank. namely you see the APS sensors mounted. Its gone through several changes, the south korean parts have been indigenized from the suspension changes to many other things. The turret has been modified, the fire control is a new version from the 2019 version, several other things are different.

@hyperman BMC was sold to Tosyalı Holding in 2023. It was previously owned by Ethem Sancak. This man is very shady. He is alleged to have defrauded Qataris. He is one of the most unpopular men in the Turkish defense industry.

Fortunately, Tosyali Holding made a rapid entry. Factory construction is nearing completion in Ankara. Everything is going well.

Yup and things are actually being designed and produced by them now. Corruption and mismanagement had not only affected the Altay but other projects to. BMC Tulga is actually in production surprizingly and several trucks are also developed and in production. You can immediately see a massive uptake and positive chance.

Don't you @hyperman quite understands how defence projects usually progress in Turkish defence industry. Its not normal that a platform remains basically unchanged, especially within the timeframe that it was given. Platforms are suppose to evolve, no matter how incremental or technologically sophisticated that system is. Draping camouflage over it is not progress.
