Ahlatcı Makes a First in Turkey: A $2.3 Billion Strategic Investment in Çorum

Ahlatci-Holding.jpg

Ahlatcı Holding is preparing to undertake another major project that will leave its mark on the history of the Turkish defense industry. Ahmet Ahlatcı, Chairman of the Holding's Board of Directors, announced the establishment of a $2.3 billion missile and rocket fuel production facility in Çorum. This facility, a first in Turkey, is expected to make significant contributions to the country's defense with both its technological infrastructure and production capacity.

Domestic Defense Production to Rise in Çorum

Ahlatcı stated that the new facility will create employment for approximately 2,000 people, highlighting the scale and impact of the investment. He noted that efforts are underway to bring the facility to the 2nd Organized Industrial Zone on the Samsun road, saying, "I love my hometown. If deemed appropriate, we want to bring this strategic investment to Çorum."

Offers Rain Down, Hometown Is the Choice Again

Despite receiving offers from across Turkey, Ahlatcı Holding has once again chosen its hometown, Çorum. Recalling that they previously wanted to bring the Gunpowder Factory to Çorum, but due to a lack of suitable land allocation, they built it in Sungurlu, Ahlatcı stated, "Our goal is to make a strategic investment in Çorum."

Contributing to Both the Economy and National Security

If the investment is realized, Çorum's industry and employment potential will be significantly strengthened. The facility will also contribute significantly to the vision of domestic and national production in the defense industry, reducing Turkey's dependence on foreign sources in this area.

This visionary step by Ahmet Ahlatcı is poised to elevate not only Çorum's, but also Turkey's, strength and strategic capabilities in the defense industry.

Major news that went under the radar.

This Missile looks like a longer-range and faster air-to-surface ballistic missile to compare with IHA-230

Turkiye may be the only country in NATO that can effectively use a missile with a range of 250+ km and supersonic speed to hit air defense systems from safe distance

It seems the new air launched Ballistic Missile has an IIR warhead. If so, it is a missile that will deal a lethal blow to enemy Warships

range of 250+ km
warhead of 100-150 kg
supersonic speed
