First offically anounced by Tubitak SAGE, this is the RAMJET air to air missile look a like. You can call it wtf you want nobody cares, in the end it will shotdown fighters.

The "National Ramjet Motorized Air-Air Missile (GÖKHAN) Development Project" Contract was signed between the Ministry of National Defense and TÜBİTAK SAGE on 21 May 2021 and activities were started.

With this project; It is aimed to develop a nationally developed beyond-visual ramjet engine air-to-air missile system that will enable the neutralization of various air elements through long-range engagement in order to establish air superiority, protect high-value aircraft and contribute to the survival of attack aircraft by defending themselves.

The Conceptual Design Phase and Preliminary Design Phase of the project have been completed, and Site Trials Phase activities are being carried out. During the Ground Tests and Flight Tests Phases of the project, subsystem and system verification tests will be carried out and flight and shooting tests will be carried out.

With the ramjet-powered air-to-air missile to be developed in the GÖKHAN project, a strategic air-to-air missile system will be provided to our country and Turkey will be among the NATO member countries that can produce ramjet-powered air-to-air missiles.

not to scale but gives an idea about similarity, GOKHAN(skylord) and METEOR

Diameter of Gokhan 160mm(should be same as Gokdogan) , Diameter of Meteor 178 mm

Notice the wing tips, they have optimized it to deal with the issue of internal weapons bays. The UK currently is not able to use the current Meteor version on their F-35s b/c the tips dont fold and are too big, and can only be mounted externally which compromises the RCS of the F-35s that negates its effectivity.

Its not Ramjet but China recently showed off its PL-15E at the same airshow we saw the J-35, they have optimized it with folding wings to fit internally.

The Kara ATMACA missile hit the target at a distance of 400 kilometers with its KTJ-3700 jet engine

Tayfun block 2? Longer and faster is more range. Look to the target, bullseye. O our neighbour have Rafales :ROFLMAO:...

Türkiye’s first homegrown short-range missile system Tayfun, made by Turkish defense firm Roketsan, was test-fired on Monday in northeastern Türkiye.

The third firing test of the missile system was concluded successfully by Roketsan at 12.37 pm (0937GMT) from the Rize-Artvin Airport.

It did previous test-fires from the same airport in October 2022 and May 2023.

It entered mass production in May 2023 after its second test fire, according to a report by the Defence Turk website.

Tayfun boasts the longest range among the country’s missile arsenal.

The missile system boasts great capability against “deep targets,” the firm said on its website. It can comfortably reach a distance of 280 kilometers (170 miles), with a maximum range of 800 kilometers (500 miles) with a preformed fragmented warhead.

“Its hypersonic cruise speed is unaffected by air defense systems, while collateral damage is reduced through its high accuracy,” the website added, noting the missile system’s anti-jamming capability.
