Turkish Naval Programs

I don't believe we have enough capable ships to protect a second AC.

Major boost for our Navy.

Another 4 I class for the navy, this 4 will replace old Yavuz class. Looks like 16 modern Frigattes. Hisar Class OPV. total 26 ships 2030+. Hisar Class is a modulair ship what always can be armed more when it needs. Overal not bad, we will have 8 AESA radar ships. The first test block for the MILDEN subs are going the start and they will get VLS, what this test block is i don't now.

Design phase for AC will start :p. I hope 50000ton+...

I hope we see Pakistan join this aircraft carrier program and operate the J-35, UCAVs, and KJ-400 AEW from it.

Great Idea although focus should be Destroyers first

I believe that Türkiye herself is not going to treat the second AC as an urgent matter. I don't see the government rushing to start this project either. Frankly, we shouldn't forget that Türkiye is heading towards local elections in March of this year, if you get what I mean...

Besides, there's still a lot to learn and unpack with TCG Anadolu and I'm convinced that experience and knowledge gained from Anadolu will eventually be applied to a possible second and much larger carrier.

Personally, the MILDEN project is much more exiting and relevant for the future in my opinion. If Pakistan wants to join any Turkish military project, here's her chance to get on board to avoid a second TFX scenario.

Why? Türkiye already has some significant knowhow and technology at her disposal which will assist in reducing the financial burden. On top of that Pakistan is modernising her navy. Why not join forces with the Turks?

If everything goes as smoothly as possible, the construction of the first Turkish submarine will commence in 2025, according to Erdoğan.

Absolutely, I agree. Pakistan will likely pursue an original submarine project (so as to replace the Agosta 90Bs by the 2040s and further expand the fleet). Collaborating on the MILDEN would be a good idea. Also, it's no problem if Turkiye takes its time with the AC program, even as a distant long-term program. My point was, Pakistan (like Turkiye) should aspire to get that capability, even if it's only viable after 2030 or 2040.

I don't believe we have enough capable ships to protect a second AC.

AC is for 2030s
so TF-2000 class Destroyer will be enough capable Ship together with MILDEN class AIP Submarine to protect AC

Also 4 AS-3600 Frigates could be included in the official program for the Turkish Navy

and even AS-3600 Frigates can protect AC

No TF-2000 and no Turkish type FAC this year,

That's the most important thing. Without TF-2000, CV will be defenseless.

We could replace our whole FAC fleet for the price of a single carrier. Another political decision that is very damaging to our overall security.

We can lose MAVI VATAN without Naval Power Projection

and not FACs ...... but Aircraft Carrier can protect maritime deal with Libya which is very important for our MAVI VATAN doctrine

btw even unmanned Systems are more practical than FACs

better to send 10 USVs armed with 200 KUZGUN-TJ Missiles to attack on enemy naval fleet like Sharks

1704743579689.png

and 10 AKINCI UCAVs armed with 40 CAKIR anti-ship Missiles
1704743797227.jpeg

Also BARBAROS Coastal Defense System with 250 km ATMACA anti-ship Missiles
1704743713954.jpeg

and We focused on 10 HISAR class OPVs

Without new FACs , Turkish Armed Forces loses nothing of its power
while decisions were made regarding the construction of the national assault Boat at the first SSİK meeting of 2024

No any financial problem
10 new FACs will be built in coming years

and Aircraft Carrier is a long term project beyond 2030-2035

Thank you for your expert insight, I'm sure you know better than everyone in the Navy planning commission and procurement department, as to what are the needs and how to meet them.

Turkey needs to replace 8 ex Oliver Hazard Perry class frigates. They have 4 Istif class on order, and now another 4. The TF2000 class will be a game changer, it will be ready once 8 Istif class are inducted, also the milden submarine and Tfx will be ready too, Turkey will become a big military power after 2030s.

Today we have 4 new ships delivered to the Navy:

1- Istif Class frigatte
2-TCG ÜTGM supply ship
3-TCG DERYA supply ship
4- MARLIN USV

The next 5 years will turn Turkish Navy another 20 years lead against big mouth countries :p . 6 new subs, 8 Frigatte, 10 OPV and 20 FAC. 4 are being modernized total 12 modern war ships. Ther are more project going on but first deliver what is urgent.

Naval Forces Commander General Ercüment Tatlıoğlu

"We are working to turn our National Air Defense Warfare Destroyer and Aircraft Carrier into a construction phase Thus, Our Navy will reach the highest point a Naval Force can reach, having the ability to transfer power on a global scale."
