Turkish Naval Programs

Thats a very impressive range for a conventional carrier, and I'm glad they are equipping it with its own Air Defense instead of solely relying on an escort ship for protection.

To compare with the best in the World ( Gerald R. Ford-class Aircraft Carrier )

Will the aircraft carrier really have this square design?

💢 10,000 nautical mile range
💢 40 MW electrical power
💢 ÇAFRAD radar: 750 km range, to be integrated into the ship.
💢 32-cell national Vertical Launch System: Air defense + offensive capabilities.
💢 Electronic warfare and sonar systems: Features not found in many aircraft carriers worldwide.
💢 Survivability concept: Low radar signature, explosion-resistant design.
If these are all true, then this design concept is more like an "aircraft cruiser".

Modern aircraft carriers are more inclined towards formation operations. An aircraft carrier is essentially a mobile airfield at sea, possessing no inherent combat capability and minimal defensive capabilities. It devotes the greatest possible resources to aircraft operations on its flight deck. Its survival is entirely dependent on the other warships in the carrier formation. ------ It is completely incapable of independent action.

Aircraft cruisers are the complete opposite of modern aircraft carriers. They emphasize independent combat capabilities. They possess various reconnaissance, strike, and defense capabilities. However, their carrier-based aircraft combat capabilities will be significantly reduced.------ It can fight in formation or independently.

The aircraft carriers of the Soviet era (Kiev-class, Kuznetsov-class) were all aircraft cruisers. The Dalian Shipyard extensively modified the Varyag (Kuznetsov-class) aircraft cruisers, transforming them from aircraft cruisers into aircraft carriers, and eventually into the PLA Navy's Liaoning aircraft carrier.

French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle. It also has a certain degree of independent combat capability. Türkiye's aircraft carrier has some similarities with it in terms of combat concepts.

285 m MUGEM Aircraft Carrier is enough for KAAN naval version to take off from ski-jump
Probably, but only with a light config (mainly air to air).
Only CATOBAR permits heavy config.

KAAN can be armed with air to air missiles
KIZILELMA and ANKA-3 can be armed with SOM and CAKIR Cruise Missiles ( anti-ship and land attack )

Manned - Unmanned Team ( MUM-T ) could be very lethal concept

French LE FİGARO

Turkiye to build largest Warship in the Mediterranean , ahead of Charles de Gaulle Aircraft Carrier

An extraordinary project, this new giant named MUGEM Aircraft Carrier should enter service by 2030. It will be able to accommodate Fighter Jets and stealth Drones.

During the Teknofest Blue Homeland event at the Naval Shipyard Command, the Turkish president kicked off the MUGEM project, the future first aircraft carrier designed and built in the country. At 285 meters long, 72 meters wide, and with a displacement of over 60,000 tons, this future giant of the sea will significantly surpass the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle (261 meters, 42,500 tons), until now the most powerful flagship in the Mediterranean.

Turkiye will join the very select club of countries capable of designing an aircraft carrier of this size the United States, Russia, The UK , France, India and China

Presient ERDOGAN
"We will build this aircraft carrier larger than the TCG ANADOLU. Our goal is maritime independence and regional superiority"

yes because Turkey does not have any manned naval fighters

maybe that could change

The 4th of the ISTIF class Frigates TCG ICEL ( F-518 ) was launched today

The first ISTIF class Frigate TCG ISTANBUL ( F-515 ) was delivered to the Turkish Navy

and 7 ISTIF Frigates are under construction simultaneously across the three shipyards ( Anadolu, Sedef, and Sefine shipyards )

View attachment 144097

that's 3 launches in 2025 alone

when is Turkey likely to launch the rest
You've always been acting like a crybaby with a inferiority complex

When I show a Turkish military project , You come here immediately and you are trying to deflect the facts by sharing nonsense posts and you are sabotaging the amazing development of the Turkish defense industry.

superior Navy in the region ? Greece or Egypt or Israel which can not produce even a Corvette ?

Whole world knows that the Turkish Navy is the strongest Navy in the region
-- 17 Frigates
-- 14 Submarines
-- 20 FACs
-- 16 Patrol Ships
-- 4 ADA class Corvettes
-- 2 BAYRAKTAR class LST
-- TCG ANADOLU Amphibious Assault Ship
-- TCG DERYA Replenishment at Sea and Combat Support Ship
-- TCG UFUK electronic Warfare Ship
-- Unmanned combat and kamikaze Vessels
-- 12 ASW Aircraft and 24 ASW Helicopters
-- TB-2/TB-3 , ANKA-S , AKSUNGUR and AKINCI UCAVs
-- BARBAROS Coastal Defense System .... ( ATMACA and CAKIR anti-ship Missiles )
Also Turkiye produced 2 HISAR class OPVs

only Turkish UCAV fleet is enough to wipe out your entire Navy
60 km KGK-82-IHA Bomb with RF seeker and 230 kg warhead is enough to do that ( to fire 10 KGK-82-IHA Bombs in price of 1 EXOCET or HARPOON anti-ship Missile )

btw You always talking about future weapons like 4 FDI Frigates and fantasy weapons without a formal agreement like MdCN missile , BERGAMINI Frigate , GOWIND Corvette , etc

Turkiye building 34 Warships simultaneously while Greece can not modernize MEKO-200HN Frigates

You can probably calm down a bit

31 warships Turkey is building is around 140,000 tons total

UK is building 28 warship and total is over 530,000 tons

In terms of warship tonnage and size and sophistication Turkey is not the biggest in Europe it’s UK

in 2027

You can probably calm down a bit

31 warships Turkey is building is around 140,000 tons total

UK is building 28 warship and total is over 530,000 tons

In terms of warship tonnage and size and sophistication Turkey is not the biggest in Europe it’s UK

The UK is not in the Eastern Mediterranean
We care about Israeli-Greek-Egyptian-Italian and maybe French Navy

btw 140.000 tons ? only 3 Ships = 113.436 tons
-- MUGEM Aircraft Carrier : 60.000 t
-- TCG ANADOLU : 27,436 t
-- TCG DERYA combat support auxiliary Ship : 26,000 t

8 x ISTIF class Frigates : 24.800 t
10 x HISAR class OPVs : 23.000 t
8 TF-2000 class Destroyers : 66.400 t
6 REIS class Submarines : 11.160 t

In terms of warship tonnage and size and sophistication Turkey is not the biggest in Europe it’s UK

and tonnage is not important but superior fire power is important

1 Turkish TF-2000 class Destroyer will have more powerful fire power than 3 British Type-45 class Destroyers combined
as of 2025 , 3 x Type-45 class Destroyers armed with total of 144 ASTER-15/30 SAMs and 24 HARPOON anti-ship Missiles

1 TF-2000 Destroyer will be armed with total of 180 SAMs

96 cells VLS .. with quad pack capability

32 cells x 4 HISAR-D block-2 = 128 SAMs
32 cells x 1 SIPER = 32 SAMs
16 cells x 1 ATMACA = 16 anti-ship Missiles
16 cells x 1 GEZGIN = 16 land attack Cruise Missiles

( if needed , more 64 HISAR-D block-2 SAMs instead of 16 GEZGIN land attack Cruise Missiles )

And 1 x GOKSUR-100N PDMS ( 20 missiles )
1756913499674.png

The UK modernize Type-45 class Destroyers
24 x Sea Ceptor silos to be fitted
so , total of 72 SAMs ... ( 48 x ASTER-30 and 24 x Sea Captor )
and 8 x NSM anti-ship Missiles

on the other hand 1 TF-2000 class Destroyer
total of 180 SAMs ... ( 128 x HISAR-D B2 , 32 x SIPER and 20 x GOKSUR-100N )
16 x ATMACA anti-ship Missiles and 16 x GEZGIN LACMs

what a fire power with 750 km CAFRAD AESA Radar

TF-2000 class Destroyer is coming to become the best in Europe in technology and fire power
