I believe its bigger and can handle a larger volume, but the biggest thing is the speed at which its being produced. Its a boost in Amphibious capabilities.

Soon they are going to test Levent against a target.

Only thing left is the Propulsion System. I am eagerly awaiting the MILDEN. Though I think they will use a German MTU engine for it same as the 214 Reis class Submarine.

The only alternatives in the short term in case of an Embargo i can think of is Japan, otherwise there will be a need to use either a Russian or Chinese Propulsion system. No one else has Conventional Diesel Submarine propulsion.

Alternatively for the long term, I think it would make sense for Turkey to pursue joint development with South Korea for a propulsion system, both countries are in need of such a system.

with projects like TF2000, MILDEM and the Turkish Carrier we hope that Turkey can develop a foreign policy more in line with its historical ambitions

after all these projects are only useful if they serve Turkish to be less dependent on outside nations not being scared and told what to do by other nation especially Israel and US

they should shape Turkish inward and outward policies
