The Electronic Support Pod (EDPOD) developed by @tubitakbilgem has successfully completed flight tests against real radar systems and has entered the inventory of the Air Force Command.
Developed with the aim of reducing our country's dependence on foreign defense technologies, the EDPOD has made a strategic contribution to our electronic warfare capabilities.
At the ceremony held under the auspices of the Electronic Warfare Command, the opening of the EDPOD Laboratory was also inaugurated.The EDPOD is a tactical electronic support pod integrated with F-16 aircraft, equipped with a radar signal detection system;
It is an advanced electronic warfare system capable of detecting signals from the enemy's target detection and tracking, missile guidance, and target illumination radars, identifying threats, recording them, and making precise location estimates.
It was developed with domestic and national capabilities.
It offers superior features compared to equivalent foreign-origin systems.
