Turksat 6A's launch tests have reached their final stage
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Uraloğlu said that the pre-launch tests of Türksat 6A at SpaceX facilities in Florida, USA are nearing completion.
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, in his written statement, said that Turkey's first domestic and national communication satellite

TAIHe reminded that it was carried out at the Space Systems Integration and Test (USET) Center, which was brought to Turkey in cooperation with the Space Systems. Uraloğlu stated that they produced Türksat 6A with the highest localization rate, with the contributions of Türksat as well as TÜBİTAK Uzay, ASELSAN, TUSAŞ and C2Tech.
"Everything is progressing according to schedule"
Uraloğlu reminded that Türksat 6A, which will provide redundancy of Türksat satellites and increase the existing capacity, arrived at SpaceX facilities on June 6, and said:
"The launch phase tests, which were initiated after the completion of the transportation operations, have also reached the completion stage. According to the current project schedule, we plan to send our Türksat 6A satellite into space with SpaceX's Falcon 9 type rocket at the beginning of the second week of July. We can easily say that it is our country's largest satellite with a localization rate of over 80 percent.
R&D"We have reached the final stage of the project and everything is progressing according to schedule."
The produced parts can be used in satellites with different mission loads.
Pointing out that Turkey's first domestic communication satellite platform will be developed with Türksat 6A, Uraloğlu said, "Every part of our satellite produced domestically and nationally is
satellitewill gain experience. This is really important. Because all of these parts produced in our country can serve successfully in space by gaining space experience, this will pave the way for their export to the whole world. Now all countries that produce communication satellites will be able to purchase these products from us. We will not only be a country that produces communication satellites, we will also export all satellite parts. "Every part produced can now be used for satellites with different mission payloads," he said.
"Türkiye will enter a new era in the space race"
Uraloğlu stated that the production of critical components with domestic means and the reduction of foreign dependency in the space sector are also of great importance in terms of security, and added:
"A communication satellite costs approximately 250 million dollars. If we consider the value of just one satellite, it can be a little more understandable how important this project is for our country. In addition, Türksat 6A will make a significant contribution to creating trained human resources in the satellite sector. Gaining technology and experience Thanks to our country's satellite and components
designand will have a significant market share in its production. "After the successful commissioning of Türksat 6A, which will be a turning point for our country, Turkey will enter a new era in the space race."
