Why aren't they showing the launch from close proximity? It's almost as if they're hiding something from us.

Is that a private company?

Turkey's first astronaut is now in Space.

🇹🇷Turkey's first astronaut Alper Gezeravcı will carry out 13 different scientific experiments prepared by universities and research institutions on the International Space Station (ISS) for 14 days. The experiments are aimed to make a significant contribution to Turkey's ability to develop new generation materials for the space, aviation and defense industries.

26 March 2024...Rocket was launched from İGNEADA Test Center

Fergani satellite's engine passed the test: Space step from BAYKAR

Fergani-Uzay-Baykar

The ignition test of the hydrogen peroxide space engine of the Fergani satellite developed by BAYKAR was successfully carried out.
BAYKAR Chairman of the Board of Directors, Selçuk Bayraktar, announced that the ignition test of the hydrogen peroxide space engine of the Fergani satellite was successfully carried out. BAYKAR, the world's leading UAV manufacturer, took an important step by entering the space field through Fergani, following its success in the defense industry.

BAYKAR's Space Vision

With this development, BAYKAR further advances its goal of contributing to Turkey's space industry. The ignition test of the hydrogen peroxide space engine stands out as one of the most important steps taken by BAYKAR within the scope of space projects. The successful completion of this test lays an important foundation for future space missions.
FERGANI's first two missions include small-volume satellites called Small-GEO and orbital transfer vehicle (RTA). The 100 kg class microsatellites to be produced by FERGANI will serve in the altitude range of 500-600 km. These satellites will have various payloads such as communication and geographical positioning. These satellites, which will be able to communicate in Ku, Ka, S, L bands, will have a global coverage network.

FERGANI-BAYKAR

First National Orbital Transfer Vehicle (YTA)

On the other hand, BAYKAR continues its activities with its own resources to develop the first national orbital transfer vehicle. Launch systems lift tons of payload into predetermined orbits. In the absence of an APT solution, the orbit in which the satellite operator wants to send its satellite and the orbital plan of the launch systems are often not compatible with each other.
In this case, the satellite operator either waits for a launch plan suitable for the orbit it requests, or makes an agreement with the launch company and carries out a launch for which it bears all the costs. In all cases, the company faces either a serious loss of time or a high cost.
With the YTA solution that FERGANI will offer to satellite operators, the operator will be included as a secondary load in any launch program suitable for the planned date, regardless of the orbit it will go to, and after reaching space, it will reach its target orbit with YTA.

Turksat 6A's launch tests have reached their final stage

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Uraloğlu said that the pre-launch tests of Türksat 6A at SpaceX facilities in Florida, USA are nearing completion.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, in his written statement, said that Turkey's first domestic and national communication satelliteTurksatHe gave information about the tests and launch process of 6A.

Satellite in Florida, USASpaceXEmphasizing that he is waiting for the launch day at the facilities, Uraloğlu said that the integration and tests of Türksat 6A will be carried out by Türksat andTAIHe reminded that it was carried out at the Space Systems Integration and Test (USET) Center, which was brought to Turkey in cooperation with the Space Systems. Uraloğlu stated that they produced Türksat 6A with the highest localization rate, with the contributions of Türksat as well as TÜBİTAK Uzay, ASELSAN, TUSAŞ and C2Tech.

"Everything is progressing according to schedule"

Uraloğlu reminded that Türksat 6A, which will provide redundancy of Türksat satellites and increase the existing capacity, arrived at SpaceX facilities on June 6, and said:

"The launch phase tests, which were initiated after the completion of the transportation operations, have also reached the completion stage. According to the current project schedule, we plan to send our Türksat 6A satellite into space with SpaceX's Falcon 9 type rocket at the beginning of the second week of July. We can easily say that it is our country's largest satellite with a localization rate of over 80 percent.R&D"We have reached the final stage of the project and everything is progressing according to schedule."

The produced parts can be used in satellites with different mission loads.

Pointing out that Turkey's first domestic communication satellite platform will be developed with Türksat 6A, Uraloğlu said, "Every part of our satellite produced domestically and nationally issatellitewill gain experience. This is really important. Because all of these parts produced in our country can serve successfully in space by gaining space experience, this will pave the way for their export to the whole world. Now all countries that produce communication satellites will be able to purchase these products from us. We will not only be a country that produces communication satellites, we will also export all satellite parts. "Every part produced can now be used for satellites with different mission payloads," he said.

"Türkiye will enter a new era in the space race"

Uraloğlu stated that the production of critical components with domestic means and the reduction of foreign dependency in the space sector are also of great importance in terms of security, and added:

"A communication satellite costs approximately 250 million dollars. If we consider the value of just one satellite, it can be a little more understandable how important this project is for our country. In addition, Türksat 6A will make a significant contribution to creating trained human resources in the satellite sector. Gaining technology and experience Thanks to our country's satellite and componentsdesignand will have a significant market share in its production. "After the successful commissioning of Türksat 6A, which will be a turning point for our country, Turkey will enter a new era in the space race."

Finally TURKSAT 6A at space, it is expected to settle it is own position within a month.

Launched from a SpaceX Falcon 9 in Florida I think, inshallah we will see Turkiye launch satellites from its own launch vehicles one day.

Fergani_Space CEO Selcuk BAYRAKTAR mentioned an important point reached in a project of strategic importance for Turkiye

"We will launch a low orbit constellation of satellites that will form the National Global Positioning System (GNSS)"

The constellation will consist of around 100 satellites and will be a new generation GNSS

The first two satellites have been produced and the first launch is in 2024
