IRST Integration ✅

now only internal weapons bay tests left.

Don't forget the RAM-paint :)

Even as is, this thing now comes with the sensor payload of either:
  1. An F-16-grade GaN radar + EOTS
  2. IRST + EOTS
Wouldn't want to face these off on opposing side, that's for sure...

By the way, the only piece of the sensor puzzle (for the Kaan) left now is the BÜRFIS/IRFS (Integrated RF System) with that humongous MURAD-600A GaN nose FCR, which is slated for H2 2026 :)

Looks like 2026 will be the year off KE.

Only test left is the Internal Weapons Bay tests.

After that, the only thing stopping it is the engine.

I would love to see a TF6000 and TF10000 integration and testing to start soon.

The Ukraine engine supply is suspect, If I was Baykar I would start experimenting with Alternative engine suppliers.

It's scary how they basically tested (sans the IRFS/BÜRFIS, and possibly the IVDL) Kaan's entire sensor and datalink suite on a fighter-form airframe with the Kizilelma this early.

The only thing that won't be achieved ahead of Kaan's Q4 2028 service entry is the IWB certification, which will still be made available to Block 10 birds through a software update.

It's crazy to think about considering how, back in 2022, we viewed the 2022-2028 timeline for the Kaan in such a doomerist way.

Now KIZILELMA is more stealthier

The most striking technical advancement in the released footage was that KIZILELMA's landing gear doors closed completely after retracting, forming a seamless integration with the fuselage. In previous tests, these doors were absent, and the aircraft flew with the landing gear bays open

Greek Media has foreseen the impending major danger !

News that Turkiye will put its first 2 KIZILELMA unmanned combat Aircraft into active service in the first quarter of 2026 has increased concerns in the Greek press: "Red Alert in the Aegean"

Nobody knows because of the engine supply from Ukraine. The Engine factory is in Zaporhesia, thats every close to the fighting and been bombed by the Russians, and Russia has demanded the city/Oblast as part of peace agreement talks. Ukraine does not have facilities outside of that region to manufacture the engine. There was news of a Baykar Ukraine joint development where they would produce the engine in Turkey, but we have received no new news on that. So at the moment, its not known how mass production will be done, whether Ukraine somehow manages to deliver engines consistently for production, Whether that production happens via License in Turkey with the Baykar/Ukraine codevelopment, or whether TEI delivers TF6000/TF10000 engines.

Honestly I think they should experiment with multiple engine suppliers. Build a version with the F124/125 from Honeywell. Its an engine in the same class as the Ukrainian engine being used and the same class as the TF6000/10000 so the transition should not be too difficult. The Italians use the same engine on their M-346, so that would only help the Leonardo collaboration, and its in mass production and modern.

what does this mean ?

Kızılelma can see F16V + Rafale at 125km meanwhile they cut see until 67/62km?

Kızılelma has a extremely ultra low cross section

it would be very hard to detect and shoot this UCAV down

imagine a squadron of Kızılelma flying towards their manned fighter jets
