Formation flight is one step earlier from Dog-Fighting. As your aircraft flies relative to other aircraft.
I also wonder if we are going to see dog-fight footage from Kızılelma. If Baykar studies dog-fight very likely. If Baykar transfers KEs to AirForce for them to study dog-fight than we will be seeing nothing.

also autonomously perform air patrol, joint strike and air defense missions as a fleet

BAYKAR needs twin engined KIZILELMA or 20.000 lbs engine for high-G maneuvers
KIZILELMA was designed from the beginning with dogfight roles too in mind (canard-delta layout gives good agility )

BAYKAR needs AI algorithms for split-second decisions in dogfight

KIZILELMA will very probably dogfight in the future .. ( after 2035 maybe )

I do not think that KE will ever go for a dog fight, even it goes never with the current engine. I do not believe in any dogfights in the future with all the technologies. First who see first from long distance and shoots.
 
I am wondering if Turkiye is working on drone-hunter drones at all. It seems such a technology might very well be more effective and cheaper than using anti-drone missiles, fighter jets, and even jamming techniques.

Im not surprised. Things have mostly stabilized for them, and the last few weeks have gone really well against Russia (even reclaiming 400KM).

The Ukrainians have learned how to protect their industry from Russian strikes over the years, so the Ukrainians being able to keep up their promises isn't a surprise.

I just saw a video of a guy who built a functional MANPAD for $96.

Missile tech still has the capacity to be affordable when it comes to anti-drone tech, so long as governments are actually serious and stop mega-corpos from ripping them off.

i think kizilelma is too fast for this stuff. Chinese mother drone consept is more logical
