Turkish UAV/UCAV Projects

what's the point of making a stealth UCAV if you are going to mount the sensors and the weapons externally?
Doesn't it defeat the whole purpose of the UCAV?
Well, this is not the final goal, of course stealth aircrafts can carry external weapons and loads , see f35 an f22 with monster role.

this bat has internal bays which can carry 2mk83 inside. We can carry 2mk83 or 2 SOMJ or 8 Tolun or 4 Gokdogan or 4 Bozdogan etc with fully stealth mode,

if stealth is not priority it can carry 1200kg paylaod in total and weapon inventory is very large

this is the first prototype, a tech demonstrator. From this the second and third will fully intregated. Look to first KE and third prototype.

This is for testing brother. The sensors currently placed are not the final configuration.

Similarly we haven't gotten to the stage of internal weapons bay tests yet.

Are you sure that TUSAS plans to build a twin engine supersonic flying wing, that seems like a very stupid Idea to me.
No supersonic flying wing has ever been built, and that's for a reason.
because of how close the control surfaces are to the center of lift At transonic speeds, the center of lift starts to move farther back with the shockwave and That's the problem. Now you’re trying to balance something using only inches rather than feet of leverage to work with.
it's like being on a see-saw and the pivot-point (fulcrum) moved closer to you… the effort becomes much harder.

We don't know if it will be a flying wing, we don't know the configuration. All we know is there is a followup project after the Anka 3, and it will be supersonic. Most people are expecting something like the Kizilelma not a flying wing. everything is speculation other than that this Anka 3 is not the only jet engine UCAV project. People are expecting a supersonic UCAV but no details yet.

Those are added incase they need a higher payload and stealth is either nolonger a viable option, or no longer needed

Even the F-35 and J-20 are able to carry weapons and sensors externally, and were tested extensively to do so.

Keep in mind, at this point In time, internal payload capacity is nowhere near as high as external payload capacity for any of the stealth vehicles (both manned and unmanned).

There will be ANKA-4 unmanned stealth Fighter Jet with twin engine for supersonic speed after the ANKA-3

-- ANKA-3 is a flying-wing stealth UCAV for air to ground attack mission
( 1 x TF-6.000 turbofan engine .... subsonic speed )

-- ANKA-4 will be unmanned stealth Fighter Jet like KIZILELMA for both air to ground and air to air missions
( 1 x TF-10.000 turbofan engine for Block-1 variant .... 2 x TF-10.000 turbofan engines for Block-2 variant )

TUSAŞ General Manager Temel Kotil: August 30, 2023
We are continuing with ANKA-3. It will be in ANKA-4

This is an official introduction from TAI
