Türkiye restarts F-35 fighter jet negotiations with US while refusing to give up Russian S-400 missile system

So Turkey conceded, and the US agreed to the transfer. Israel failed to convince the UAE (or the US) not to take the deal. A failure for the Zionists.

We don't know what happened with the UAE deal. But what was communicated to Turkey was that even if Trump wanted to transfer it, the law passed demands that the S-400 leave Turkey before any transfer of the F-35, and that dismantling it would not be enough to get past it. With the emergence of SIPER, the S-400 is not largely relevant, as by the time SIPER-2 and SIPER-A are ready, Turkey would have domestic capacity in a S-400 equivalent system. Its already there in most aspects of the air defense envelope like non ballistic missile intercepts. Enough so that Turkey feels confident in not needing the S-400 long term.

So, in the end, Türkiye chose to surrender to the United States and submit to U.S. orders......

If, as a next step, Trump demands that Turkey abandon the KAAN project as a condition for resuming F-35 fighter jet supplies...... will Türkiye still comply with the order?

That 40 engines what will be putted on Kaan is denied because off CAATSA. And getting a sqaudron off F35 to learn and counter it. If we had the money, 100+ Kaan, 110 F35, 280 F-16V, 48EF. That would be a banger but we don't have the money, so we will not comply old order.

There is no such thing
Let's proceed based on the facts

The S-400 issue is not about an order; it is about NATO ( including Turkiye ) not purchasing weapons from Russia.

CAATSA sanctions were imposed for this reason.

I fully understand and accept the compromises a nation is sometimes compelled to make when faced with the pressures of reality.

Whether for individuals or nations, the fundamental law of human society is that the strong prey on the weak. Consequently, when an individual or a country faces overwhelming pressure, making compromises becomes inevitable. This is a basic rule of human society, and I respect that.

Some nations have been forced to cancel purchases of Su-35 fighter jets or HQ air-defense missiles due to pressure from the United States. Such actions are entirely understandable and acceptable in the international arena.

China, too, has experienced similar situations; there is no shame in it.

What is truly shameful is the behavior of certain Turkish nationalists on this forum.

When the U.S. warned Turkey against purchasing the Russian S-400 air-defense system, the Erdoğan administration chose a stance of tough defiance—a move that made some people proud, viewing it as a display of governmental strength.

When U.S. sanctions arrived, the Erdoğan administration chose to continue resisting and to pursue independent development—something that thrilled certain individuals!

Yet, when Turkey found it increasingly difficult to bear the pressure of CAATSA sanctions and the Erdoğan administration began to compromise, those same individuals tried to spin the narrative and rationalize the situation.

1. CAATSA is a piece of U.S. domestic legislation; it is neither international law nor a NATO regulation. Nothing in the NATO charter or its mechanisms provides a basis for imposing economic or arms-trade sanctions on member states.

2. As a NATO member, Turkey is neither the first nor the only NATO nation to purchase weapons from Russia.

You're right, Erdoğan's supporters just ignore his past mistakes. There's a reason we call them 'sheep' in Turkey.

On the other hand, being under CAATSA sanctions since 2020 forced us to domesticate everything. Today, we're at a point where we can meet 83% of the Turkish Armed Forces' needs domestically.

If Erdoğan purposely got us into CAATSA sanctions just to boost the domestic production rate, I’d be his biggest supporter, but I highly doubt it. He was just forced to buy the S-400s because of Russian pressure back then.

What you fail to understand is that national interests and security are not protected by emotions

Of course, you also need to be aware of the prevailing situation in the region since 2013

Read this carefully now so you understand the situation; very few people on this forum can explain this to you, I am doing so.

1 --
since 2011 , Turkiye has wanted to purchase PATRIOT Air Defense System from the US, but the OBAMA administration did not sell them to Turkiye

and in 2013 , An asymmetric war between the US and Turkiye began over Syria and Libya

-- Israel destroyed MOURSI in Egypt via military Coup by SISI in 2013
-- Israel-USA backed FETO Organization has started judicial coup attempt against ERDOGAN in 2013

2 -- Turkiye was set to purchase the HQ-9 air defense system from China, but the US misled Turkiye and ensured the cancellation of the deal at the 2015 NATO summit held in Antalya/Turkiye

The US, which once again failed to keep its promise to supply PATRIOTAD System to Turkiye but USA used FETO in 2016 to orchestrate a military coup attempt against ERDOGAN

Thereupon, the Turkish Army entered Syria despite the US and launched a military operation against USA-France-Israeli-backed terrorist organizations.

3 -- At the same time, a multinational alliance mobilized against Turkiye in the Eastern Mediterranean in 2016

in 2017 , Turkey, which had no air defense systems in its inventory, signed an agreement with Russia to purchase S-400s to meet an urgent need

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Even France blocked the 2018 project with EUROSAM to develop a new air defense system with Turkiye in 2020, simply because Turkiye had launched a new military operation in Syria

-- Turkiye won in Syria and Libya; the demands of the USA which had used the F-35 as a political card are no longer relevant

-- Turkiye has developed its own STEEL DOME Air Defense Umbrella ( HISAR+SIPER )
There is no longer much need for the S-400s.

In reality, the USA wants to supply F-35s to Turkiye, but Israel is trying to block the sale by whining day and night ... and then there is Greece, also whining.

The narrow-minded opposition supporters who fail to see this are the real "sheep"

The ignorant guys who fail to see the ring of fire Turkiye passed through between 2013 and 2020

Why did our so-called NATO allies, the USA and France, not provide Air defense systems to Turkiye ? Because they were already fighting Turkiye directly through their proxies in Syria and Libya since 2013

----------------------------------------------------------------------

The F-35 is also a flying computer. we cannot even take off unless a code arrives from the USA before every flight

Turkiye wants to eliminate CAATSA sanctions so as not to hinder other military collaborations with the USA and the only excuse they have for doing so is the S-400s.

Would it be fair to assume that kaan is still a long way away?

Handing over S400 will affect balance in the region we are not talking about Russian tanks being sold off here? It is also still unclear whether Russia will agree to the transfer of this system or not that’s because in many Russian arms export contracts transferring military equipment to a 3rd country won’t happen without Moscows consent more over if this equipment is sold to. Arab country UAE OR QATAR it supposedly be used against the Islamic Republic of Iran . And here Russia will have to choose whether it will side with Arab countries again or back Iran?
