well for last 76 years you have been doing that and without doing any critical annalusis and asking them questions about what and why and how things went wrong and look at your nation, society and so called ZINDA QUOM as a whole today in a funny yet misrable situation to say the least ;) :p

Mods, can we direct the ranting to be back on topic at some point!?

I am actually surprised to learn the IN doesn’t have active any AIP submarine, something the Pakistanis had for decades.

Yes that is really sad to see that IN till date do not have any AIP submarine... when deal for scorpeans was signed I thought we are getting AIP equipped submarine but not sadly....
Indian military procurement doctrine has always been to go after the quantity rather than quality.

It's an unfortunate by product of leaning more towards the Soviet style of thinking. Coupled with the legacy British way of treating subordinates (Indians) which continues to hound us to this day
Value for life is pretty low in the sub continent and it shows in every walk of life, civilian or military.

Yea Soviets used to win battles and wars by having their mass production power. Even to this day somehow that's happening in Russia.
We overall sufferered from leaning towards the west and the US since our inception but military arms procurement wise we benefitted. Because our budget is limited and we rely more on advanced higher quality weapons in limited numbers.

There are pros and cons to both types of ideologies, but what compounds the cons and mitigated the pros is when we try to follow an idealogy without properly adapting it to our culture and capabilities. Again it plagues all of the subcontinent.

Well some people don't understand that all it takes is a well placed torpedo or missile hit to sink any ship. It doesn't make difference that the firing platform was a P8 or P3 or mirage or something else. India and Pakistan both are quite capable of inflicting substantial damage to each other's navies.

Another possibility is Australian subarines can go to Egypt as they were also looking for advanced scorpean.... If Egypt gets Barracudas then Turkish navy will be in great trouble....
Apni Khair manau.... Don't worry about Turkey. Turkey is already in designing phase for its own submarine. So Egypt is no way near to Turkey.

Be it so, they are eating into the traditional French Naval markets and coming up with new designs
new design? Except in the UAV market, I see nothing new in the Turkish weapon projects.
But it's clear that you become a fierce competitor on the export market.

Well I would argue MILGEM is new no? France is very dominant in the heavy corvette/frigate market and Turkey has already eaten into it;s share with exports to Ukraine, Malaysia, Qatar and Pakistan. All of whom were past major clients for French naval products

Indonesia : a protocol for 2 units inked, but no firm contract.
Pakistan : 4 units. But France doesn't want to sell weapons to Pakistan since 20 years more or less.
Ukraine : all is frozen since february 2022.
Qatar : ? nothing found.
So nothing eaten in the french backyard.

Sorry, these were but a few examples, I can give many more if you want where Turkish firms have been eating into French market share. To deny their expansion into the market is to live in a dream world.

Qatar, UAE, Saudi, Philiapenns, Nigeria, are all buying major systems from Turkey, many of which are have French counterparts.

French R&D is now being surpassed by quite a few nations.

Egypt is only country that challenged Israel defeated them in 1973..... this is the only country that stood tall against western world and challenged them on open battlefield..... learn to respect,...
