U.S. Upgrades Pakistan’s F-16s , India Goes Into Panic!

Bro the upgrades aren't even that big a deal. We are heavily reliant on Chinese kit now anyway...

Its just Indians being Indians.
The upgrade of the aircraft indeed has little impact, but its political significance is enough to cause panic in India. China is increasing pressure on the China-India border while the United States has begun to shift its support to Pakistan.

Surprising to see so much commotion from a datalink/crypto change that cost in the units of only tens of millions of dollars.

Its not like the AIM-120D has all of a sudden turned up.

The video is quite funny... they are saying that "Pakistan is planning something...".

The upgrades are not trivial; they are part of a military deal worth around $800 million. The upgrade request was denied in 2021/22 by the Biden administration. And Pakistan's Airforce Chief went to America in 2025 to seal the deal with the Trump administration. Pakistan's retired Air Force official Khalid Chisti says the upgrades would make the F-16s 'near Rafale' quality. He also claims Pakistan had deployed F-16s during the conflict with India in May 2025 but at time the F-16s were not as capable as they would become after the upgrade and so were kept a distance from the front of the conflict.
I know some in this forum shoot down every one and will probably shoot down Mr. Chisti as well but I tend to think he is right about the value of the upgrades.

"Near Rafale quality" is a push no?

Without an AESA and the C-8 how is that possible?

I don't know what those upgrades are about; I am not a military hardware person. But I generally trust Mr. Chisti's opinion. He is respectful toward even the Indian military's professionalism. But the geopolitical angle can't be ignored: The request to upgrade was denied earlier and granted now; they must be significant enough upgrades to have affected those decisions.
Also, I believe, Indians have generally played down talking about the upgrades because very embarrassing for them.

Brother to put it in simple terms it is better encrypting with jamming and interference resistance.

Example:

F-15: I cant see shit....

F-35: Send it bro.

The airspace is networked. Friendly fighters sharing information automatically, not just relying on their own sensors. Maybe your jet’s radar can’t see an enemy…but another jet can & will guide your missile.

Did the Indian Defense Minister Rajnat Singh made this statement recently? If so then why now?
BTW, very embarrassing for Mr. Singh to cry about the F-16s upgrade deal. There is nothing India can do to stop the upgrades--not with Trump as the President. Trump made it clearly from his first few weeks after assuming office that he was going to totally reverse from his first term policy about Pakistan (remember that Tweet in early 2017?!!) versus to be working closely with Pakistan (early 2025 speech to US Congress).
