KF-21EX was disclosed at an Air Force Conference in the South Korean city of Daijon on July 28. On this occasion, the company presented a detailed road map for the project under the title: “The KF-21 combat performance enhancement system and the integration of inspired-non-inspiring operation (Mum-T).”
This is the most comprehensive offer in terms of information announced by the public regarding the planned upgrades to be entered on the fighter known as "Boramae".
According to the company, the addition of the internal weapons room will require major structural changes in the plane, so that it can accommodate a wide range of ammunition, including the MBDA METEOR air to air missile, the Lig Nex1 Lraam missile, the GBU-39 small diameter bomb produced by Kai, and the relevant effects of the air (ALE), in addition to a grenade directed from the category of the category 2000 pounds are likely to be GBU-31 JDAM.
