I travel throughout the U.S., Canada, and Germany. Home is Germany.
I saw your flag and kind of suspected
Neither of those countries have massive Pakistani communities, although they are growing
I have always stated when communities and families are isolated such as in the U.S or Canada or Germany, they grow up and go to school completely surrounded by people not from their own people or culture
It's very easy in having some pan-muslim identity, because the people around you are at least Muslim even if they are not from your own people
Marrying people in isolated communities is always a little red flag..
Because they grew up amongst "others"
So their first crush was always someone from another community
Their friends were always people from other community
They get used to "other" people and THAT is where the more comfortable view of marrying out comes from
