The Western world will trade and live among themselves. No doubt that the same will happen to the Global South. This is the result of deglobalisation. The world is moving away from globalisation. These are two competing blocs.
The likes of Japan, South Korea and India will also be forced to make hard choices. The EU will cease to exist at some point.

With regards to the Pakistani communities here, Pakistan must be put their fingers on the levers to make sure a new government here does not misbehave with Pakistanis.
I agree with the sentiment that there should be no undocumented people in this country and legal migration should be reduced to more palatable numbers.
No more millions of Indians flooding in every year. But do it in a dignified manner, refuse visas and give ample notice to visa holders such as ILR residents to leave. Treat Pakistani visa holders with dignity. I support this. British need jobs and housing and they should be prioritized.
However targeting British citizens of Pakistani descent and Pakistanis in general is a complete no go, these are red lines and should invoke further consequences geopolitically.

You're noticing different things to me because you're not factoring in the realities of Belfast.
Tonight there is organised violence in Newtownabbey and Coleraine areas of Belfast, both Loyalist strongholds.
As many predicted, Loyalist bastions are the epicentres of actual organised violence. The Republicans share some sentiment with these Loyalists on a single narrative about immigrants (and are also protesting, peacefully), but will definitely not facilitate their opportunistic attempts at control over Belfast's streets. Not a chance.
