I don't think Ukraine can escalate this war into Regional War, they are already at war with Russia, so doing ops inside Russia is nothing, unless they are also thinking of invading Belarus, the only one that can escalate this war is Russia if they fancy to invade Moldova or Georgia or even Baltic NATO states, otherwise this war is going to stay between Russia and Ukraine.

The thing is not in doubt is that Russia made almost zero progress in the first 6 months of this year, (IIRC they made 1 to 2 km into the Ukrainian frontline) unless there are some kind of breakthru that suddenly happens for Russia, the Russians aren't going anywhere. There are simply not enough troops to grind on. There are't much Putin can do in Ukraine other than order a general mobilisation, if so, the white Russians in Russia are going to throw him off the Kremlin Palace

lol, you do know Russia uses appoximately 4 million 152 artillery round a year right, that's down from 9 million in 2022 and 6.5 million in 2023, where do you think all those rounds goes?

On average in Iraq we uses about 150,000 155 artillery round a year. to say they are mindful for "Civilian Casualty" is a cruel joke

They’ve only made progress in the fields north of Ocheretyne. They’re trying to put pressure on the flanks of Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka, but I’m not sure if they can even take those towns this year. They’ve got 3-4 months before rain season hits then winter.

I don't think they can push anymore this year, again, last time we heard of any new troop in town is that 50k building up near Kharkiv, that's not going to be enough to do anything.

Maybe they have another division or 2 hiding somewhere near Belgorod? I don't know, but unlikely they can make the summer push as we are 1.5 months into Ukrainian summer already, they have another 45-55 days before the fall rain drenched their position.
