Correct me if I was wrong, I don't think Russia, or Soviet Union or anyone fought a war using 9 million artillery shell (not 122, but 152) a year, that's more than 700,000 a month, that's 25000 a day, that's 1.3 rounds every minute. Honestly, I don't think the world had even gone close to 3 million rounds a year
Even back in WW2, Russia don't have as much artillery system they had now, it's estimated roughly 4-5000 artillery pieces are currently deployed in Ukraine, compare to 300 or so in Chenchen and around 500 in Afghanistan. There are 3 armies during WW2, you are talking about 20-25 corp, or 100 or so divisions. at 1:1 level you have 50 division with artillery, and each division has around 3 batteries, which is between 18-20 tube. WHich mean at most at WW2 level Soviet Union were using 3000 artillery tube.

Western countries have provided hundreds of artillery systems to Ukraine, although ammunition shortages have caused significant issues.

Also, WSJ estimate 3 years of war created 1 million casualty on both side
https://www.wsj.com/world/one-million-are-now-dead-or-injured-in-the-russia-ukraine-war-b09d04e5 While that include military death, the number OHCHR reported usually was wrong (usually by a factor of 1/4, read Gaza Casualty) Ukrainian official figure have that up to 300,000 civilian casualty (Dead and Wounded), most humanitarian organisations estimated between 40000 to 100,000 and UN renewed report put it between 13000 to 40000
Chief prosecutor says total number of dead could be more than 10 times official figures as country marks first anniversary of invasion
