Republicans win the House.

Government funding runs out on December 20th.

Expect a government shutdown until a new Congress is sworn in two weeks later when the Republicans do not have to compromise with the Democrats.

Are they willing to not pass a short term resolution to get the country through the Christmas holiday season? Seems a bad way to start an administration.

The way Trump and republicans fumble in the first 6-12 months will line up how much people will want to push back against Trump. Some are predicting a recession within a year of Trump being back in office.

The appetite for a “resistance” against Trump, is there, but chastened by the failures of the democrats. The tide could quickly turn on Trump if he fumbles the execution of how he governs and carries out his signature policies.

Even though Jon Stewart is being facetious, the cheers sound real.
