You usually have independent and libertarian candidates, but generally that is just a side-track of the election, they don't get more than 5% of the vote

I think USA foreign policy the POTUS doesnt have any power. But the elite who take decisions, it makes different kind of decisions depending of the puppet as POTUS.

In America you do see certainly Kind hearted folks worthy to be leaders , but the system is such , those folks would never be allowed to become the Head of State
