Unrest in AJK Update and Discussion

Its all about the economy, Article 370 removed the Hurriyat underground economy that existed in Kashmir, that was filled with Drug money, NGO investment and Rs 500 and Rs. 1000 income for stone pelting. Most were in it for some daily income due to lack of Jobs.

Article 370 and the events surrounding it allowed complete dismantling of the underground economy, Drug network is also being heavily clamped down on. The infrastructure work and investment there will bring in jobs.

Doing 9:00 to 5:00 job every day, 5 times a week will take the wind out of anyone wanting to do activism.
Kashmir's Budget 14 Billion Dollars

No matter what you say.modi is good for Hindi India and that is coming from Jat Punjabi Sikh guy...
Modi is a Hindu fascist I know that right wing leader
But he has put India on the map
Even at the expense of favouritism towards his own kind first
The corporate Indians love him
Expats Indians in USA UK live him
He passed article 370
He knows what he is doing
He will be leader again post this election

abducting and recording naked videos is also extreme so its fair game!! i wont mind if these were not police but Alpha mafia gang operators!

So far I am unsure if this is local police or paramilitary men that were brought in from the Pakistani mainland. Two days ago Assistant Commissioner of Dadyal, Mirpur was also beaten up by the locals after he and his men tried a Lathi charge.

Problem with Pakistan right now is, it does not seem to have decent negotiators to talk this through. Strong arm tactics will only increase sentiments against the authorities.

FYI - Guys leave Modi and India out of this.

This power struggle is centuries old. British faced the same situation and then they established the biggest cantonment of the sub-continent here. Please watch also 12:00 onwards too. See the sentiments have changed now in Moeed's family. Meanwhile, please watch at 19:40 that our agencies are fixing Lahore High Court.

Like Afghanistan, these regions are still isolated.. Yes, it has good connectivity due to roads and data networks but still, small villages are isolated. So, these regions are pretty much isolated from mainstream Pakistan.

Mbs was part of the game. He did not like imran being alfa leader

We should send these protesters to IOK so they can easily protest without any problem.

The people Azad Kashmir ( Mirpur) have done a great favour to the Pakistani nation by sacrificing their homes and lands for Mangla Dam . Of course, they got a lot in return I agree well deserved too. Still, the sacrifice is huge. And your Lathi remark was crass it will not work on these hardened Mirpuris this is not Punjab or Karachi these people can fight back. I have seen them In U.K. cities you really do not want agitate this peoples.
used to have a favourable view for these people untill i actually met a few in my university..... They have gotten too much for free. I am all for giving them their royalty but then state should take every single subsidy back!

“Civil rights used to be about treating everyone the same. But today some people are so used to special treatment that equal treatment is considered to be discrimination.”

They didn't donate the land for dams; they paid very well for their land.

both sides have burnt their pockets subsidizing the Kashmiri awam.

Brother , need to pay for services. Look at your cities and how much power theft is there ballooning circular debt intern putting pressure on honest bill paying citizens and then revolution or bankruptcy.

As I said, before the difference between third World countries and develop nation is rule of law. Rule of law, for the people , for the politicians, for the judiciary, and for the law enforcement.

Look at second video of infrastructure, mind blowing how quickly Modi is executing thighs. So many about 1km tunnel and longest is 10Km. Just wow. Well lit , parallel escape tunnel and air circulation. Ekdum China wali feelings as rahi hai.

So what exactly is the issue in AJK? Why are people protesting?

I've heard that the people came out to protest against price extortion and other such issues, but police arrested their leader, and now we have this mess.

The ba$$terd child of British Raj which we inherited has been disaster for country. Only solution is to dismantle this rogue militia and raise national army.
You really don’t want to do that for sake of integrity of Pakistan. Just right type of army chief with vision needed. As much as Bajwa sucked I would say he was way better than Munir.
