Prices will not be lowered and their fantasies of "taxing the rich" are bogus and hypocritical. For example, Ro Khanna is a leader of "tax the uber rich" and had put out idiotic bullet points of what a 5% wealth tax on Musk would mean.
On what wealth is he going to tax? Actual realizable wealth or recognized wealth? There's a huge difference.
Also, why isn't ol' Ro leading the way by voluntarily relinquishing 5% of his $200MM+ wealth? That's just a paltry $10MM. But look what that could pay for. Let's use the average cost for childcare in California being $22,000 per year. That would provide care for 455 children for a full year.
